I appreciate the review! After watching I'm not sure I'm fan..it really really dampens the voice, which in a studio or hit record, they always have reverb & stereo spread.. sure you could do it in the mix, but why do that if you could just record properly?? Thx man!

Sounded like it really tightened up the low end..:. My booth in my studio is relatively and gets boomy around 250-600 hz so I might get this to try it out and see if it helps me get cleaner recordings.... I also record my self in the control room (which isn’t as well treated as my booth) so I want to try it out on myself as well. I’m gonna get one and let you know how I feel, but this video kinda made it seem like it’s exactly what I need 😂

I use an Eyeball and it's great. Deadens the room completely without an ugly foam wall or the stupid blankets. You want dead sound when recording, then do what you want to it in the mix. Best and most cost effective solution there is.

The only problem was you sound fuller without the filter...it cuts out alot of low end which is something you might want depending on the application...but you can replace it with a slight eq bump in the low mids....you dont need anything below 60HZ anyways in a vocal anyways
@beatkultr6 жыл бұрын
Antoine Yetts when recording vocals to music, this works. Less works on the mix engineer because you went thru a filter.
@AyoToine6 жыл бұрын
KsndDEF Ik I’m just referring to times where you have a tenor or bass type instrument wether it be a vocalist or brass or whatever the case may be .... or even those movie voice over people who wants ....that deep part where the proximity effect kicks in that’s all I agree for Vocals in General hell yeah it works .... however I wouldn’t spend $300-$400 On it
@beatkultr6 жыл бұрын
Antoine Yetts to be honest I wouldn’t use this on brass Instruments. I usually go the live room method. At that point it’s about room acoustics. I would use a reflection filter if I need to.

If you’re in a small booth that gives boxy vocals (even tho walls are treated) it might help counteract that... I’m gonna get it this weekend try it out and see how it helps my situation out
@RayoBeatz4 жыл бұрын
People are looking for noise floor elimination not microphone filtering and you wont get a treated sound without a treated room the next best thing is to use a low noise floor interface with a low noise amplifier like the cloud lifter which adds zero noise but gives you 25+ dbs while being at 0db on your interface coupled with an nt1a and you will at least have an easier time adding in gates, or noise editing plugins that will leave a clean and i mean clean track which means cleaner effects on those recorded tracks which translates to easier mixing

Not a fan. You can treat a whole room catching Acoustic Panels on sale. Foam does not cancel the lower frequencies as Panels do! Plus with a treated room you can record AND MIX + MASTER. Yes it helps with bleed and ambiance BUT... You also sacrifice a full body vocal. Facts. But hey! Good vid none the less.

@beatkultr4 жыл бұрын
Kae Millian check your cables, switch them out. Make sure your connection is solid. Make sure to record in a quite environment. Things you think can’t be picked up in a condenser mic can be because these types of mics are sensitive. Dynamic mics are built different and designed to pick up only what’s directly in front of it. That’s why this foam piece in the video is designed to help filter unwanted sounds but it’s not a vocal booth.

It's not a pop filter -- it replaces a vocal booth. It deadens the sound in the room so it records perfectly flat. Just like a vocal booth but cheaper and smaller.

Sorry, that this question is off base of your review, but when I seen that you where using studio 1 I had to ask you. Hope to hear from you soon. I subbed, so maybe if you do a video about it I will get it.
@beatkultr5 жыл бұрын
Musicman Butte the echo is usually caused by the interface monitor being active as well as the monitor in studio one being active. Two monitors on at the same time creates an echo where as one of them are delayed from the other. Just deactivate one of those and you should be fine.

So, I thought this foam ball worked as a noise canceller. If it doesn’t do that, what’s the point of it. I ain’t spending $200 on this crap. Scheduling studio space is more effective than this. #disappointed
@beatkultr5 жыл бұрын
Edén Alekss not sure who told you this was noise canceling. There’s nothing you can buy that will cancel noise. Mics naturally pick up everything. This product like others alike was created to help filter certain frequencies such as low floor noise and reduce room noise. If you have the cash to go to a professional studio and the patients to book a time that fits your schedule, then that’s usually the idea. But for those who have the gear to record at home constantly pushing out new songs and making money, this is a great investment. You gotta look at it from all angles. If you’re a hobbyist, then your comment makes sense.
@edenalekssandria5 жыл бұрын
I was just trying to look for options to not have to foam up my whole room. I don’t have the money for either actually, but I think it would make more sense to book studio time. I love the idea of experimenting and crafting my songs on my own ‘cause it’s cheaper and I can do whatever I want, but the background noise is what kills me. Do you have any advice on that?
@stealthstar45 жыл бұрын
@@edenalekssandria All the studio time you book will definitely go over the foam mic price. Pay a one time fee and you can get the same quality as the studio.
@edenalekssandria5 жыл бұрын
Stealth Star but you just told me that it doesn’t cancel outside noises. What’s the point of having what you are “selling” me if it’s not going to satisfy my needs? I’m not looking for studio sound, I’m looking for no outside/unwanted noises.
@SUZtypebeat5 жыл бұрын
Edén Alekss studio time is expensive, if you’re anything like me you probably always wanna be recording on your own in the comfort of your own room. i don’t know what type of mic you have but with compression and eq background noise is minimal and this would be the cherry on top if you make your own stuff. i say it’s worth it but that’s just my opinion 🤷🏽♂️
