1st off Whitney Houston gave Bobby that name to make him feel good since his career wasn't going anywhere after they got married. Whitney did an interview saying she had to either dumb down or dime her light to make Bobby feel better about himself. Bobby only have 2 good slow R&B songs and a very short solo career. This is why he had to add those New Edition songs. Whereas Johnny Gill can do a Verzuz with only his songs because he has a very successful solo career. Bobby doesn't qualify to be called The King of R&B to me and that's why people laugh when people call him that. Keith Sweat has a very long successful career and very long catalog. Keith had a lot more hits and songs that he did not get to play.

This was one of the best verzuz I've seen. They both had great music and I grew up listening to them. I am partial to Keith Sweat though. The whole battle was a much needed diversion from my day and brought back wonderful memories. Plus it was extra special because I got to watch with my 23 year old niece and she actually knew most of the songs. It was her first verzuz and she was reluctant to watch at first but by the end she became a believer. ❤🎧🎤🎼🎶🎵❤

Their music/career is my era, so I grew up listening to them both and I’ve seen them on the same concert lineup over the last 2 decades. Chile Keith Sweat/BBD was my 1st concert when I was in the 8th grade!! 😂😩🤭 I was here and rooting for them both equally.
