I used this about two weeks ago, and I have brown spots all around my lawn, i guess what I thought was grass was the cloves and crab grass, but they are burning up, and growing back now as grass.

This stuff works so well as long as its not 95 degrees on your lawn all day, it will burn if the temp gets that high. Also, its fine if it rains, the fertilizer gets in deeper and the weeds die from the ground up.

i got a bag that i want to spread in my front yard. my question is, if i spread it, is it my fault if people walk their dogs on my grass and they eat it?? can they get sick??

I woke up early this morning (Saturday) to spread it while it was damp. Checked the weather app to make sure it wouldn’t rain for 24 hours. It said it’s clear until Tuesday. Awesome! I spread it out and swept any little bits out of the street. I was so proud thinking I deserve a nice lawn for working so hard. 6 hours in and it’s raining😡🤬🥵. Guess I gotta work another 72 hours straight to buy more now😔😔

I ran into the same problem. If you buy this brand they have it at Sam's club.

What about the irrigation before and after you put it on the grass? It has to be humed?

That is a good point. The ground needs to be wet prior to application. If not, the Turf Builder will not stick to the leaves. After application you should not water for 24 hours. In my case on both times it rained 4 to 5 hours after application. Prior to, I used the morning dew. You can see in the video how wet the ground was.

How many times max per year/season can I combine both Scott’s weed/feed and weed/feed plus winter guard if applied separately during late spring/summer & fall/late fall since I see that weed&feed can only be applied twice per year on Scott’s website? Note: Weed & feed plus winter guard does not have the max 2 times per year on Scott’s website unlike only Weed & feed.

I never saw how many time you can use it max. I did read that you should wait 30 days between applications. I think they have two reasons for that. One is chemicals in the ground and the other, so it will not kill the grass. But if you feel the need to apply this material that much and that often, it does not seem to be working for you. Be sure to reseed your lawn. A think lawn will also help prevent weeds. Grass seed is also cheaper. I am doing that process now and will do another video once the grass grows.

@@aroundthehousewithjohnmila672 The grass is good but I bought both weed/feed and weed/feed with winter guard (this is unopened from last year). There are weeds here and there and I thought may be I can distribute these from spring to winter but apparently I have my doubts. Scott’s website is also not clear.

@@worldpeace5853 Scott's has a Weed Bgon Max. It is a bottle with a battery powered applicator. That may be good for the weeds here and there. I do not think it would be good to treat the entire lawn for a few weeds. I have used that in the past and it had 24 hour results. It is not cheap but you do not use much.

it's been almost a year. How effective is this at controlling dandelions and clover?

I was actually walking past my yard today and notice the growth of the weeds already. I think the problem may have been to much rain to soon after the application. I think I will do an updated video prior to my first cutting. I should have it up sometime next week weather permitting.

Thanks for this video. Do you know if this would also kill lambs quarter and weeds other than dandelions?

I am not sure. I did not have much luck with this Weed Killer. Maybe because my weeds are so bad. I am in the process of top seeding hoping some of the grass will kill the weeds.

I wanted to try a liquid spray that attaches to a hose. We have had so much rain it will just wash away. I will post more videos as I fight with my yard. Thanks for the reply.

It would be nice to see end result and your conclusion about the product. At least pictures. 🤔🤔🤔 Otherwise, we can’t say if product is good or not.🙁🙁

Now that it is Spring I just applied it. They say it is also a good idea to top seed so I did that also. I do not have the video for that yet. We had so much rain and it being cold, it has really set back my progress. The yard is looking so much better already.
