Very cool boxset! Sad, some corners were cut with the embossed covers, lyric sheets, and extra pictures that the CDs had. It is a lot more expensive these days. But since he has a big fan base, he could promote it as a super limited run. I think it would do all right, and still give him some nickels to use at the local arcade. Maybe even buy some earthworms at the local bait shop. Did that one album that was 55 minutes or over an hour have noise on the last track? Or was it on two LPs? Anything over 40 minutes, they really frown upon. I know some people do it though. Man, can’t believe you saw Oysterhead. Those are some killer musicians. I bet they had a lot of fun on stage. Great video review! Cheers!

Not sure who cut the lacquers for these, or if they were done DMM in the Czech Republic, but the ends of the sides really did not suffer.

back in the day I had many records in vinyl. When CDs came out, the sound quality was so so much better than I had ever heard on vinyl. Is it the same now or is vinyl all that much better since it’s later on in years and they have improved it or what is the big deal about vinyl is it just a popular thing with young people now because they didn’t have it as kids?

Vinyl can sound as good as digital if you spend enough money on equipment, turntable, cart, phono stage. It's definitely more fun to collect, the art is larger, interesting color vinyl combinations are a work of art themselves. I'm not sure my old man eyes could read CD booklet notes without a magnifying glass. It requires careful handling or else it will deteriorate. It's an artifact, a work of art to match the audible art pressed into the wax. It's also more satisfying to me to listen to vinyl since, unlike with digital, there is friction to switch tracks or let ADHD pull you to put something else on. It requires more than a button push. So no, I wouldn't say it sounds better, and in many cases not as good (unless we're taking into account the loudness wars and some vinyl masters sounding better than digital masters... in those circumstances vinyl can actually sound better). But it's more satisfying to collect and listen to vinyl, if one's budget has room for the equipment and media costs.
