Vash's revolver from the anime "Trigun" was based on this gun. The only major difference was that it was a break-action instead of a swing.

A way to fix the cylinder problem is add a rotary spring. Although, that's just more moving parts to go wrong.

Holy sweet jesus, I can't even begin to imagine how much money that collection costed. I totally want a Mateba though. Just not sure how much I could really pay to acquire a Unica 6 or 2006M...
@JimBrodie11 жыл бұрын
Correct on the Ghost in the Shell reference, the character Togusa carries a Mateba. He also gets stick from his squadmates Major Kusanagi and Bateau for not using an automatic pistol because of his personal preference to revolvers over his doubts about the reliability of semi-automatics. He doesn't admit this, just says that he likes the Mateba. I don't blame him though, it's a work of art. =]

love the modular barrel change option, I've wondered forever why smith and Wesson hasn't done that, the only answer possible is accuracy, which is their raison d'être...you could easily mount a red dot on that both top and side/gangster style.

Man I really really wanted an Unica 6, but they are too pricey now days. I understand that one guy snatches every one up that comes on Gunbroker. I am glad that Chiappa is making the Rhino. Though the Rhino is not as good looking or as cool as the Unica 6, I think it's more practical and I am glad to have it since I can conceal carry it. You are lucky to have such a nice collection.

Seems to me that some numbers over one of your Matebas are "CAT 6306", if it's true that model is not a 2006M but a 2006C, even more rare.... The other one can be propably "CAT 5577"

The wrench you could make yourself an unbreakable one if you do this: You get a cylinder like the one the wrench has and where the pegs are you drill the holes and leave the drill inside just so it pokes out. Drill bits might snap/explode in a drill but for an application such as this, it's bulletproof. I used this for a special type of torque wrench and mine had only the inner pin like the plastic one on yours and one little peg. Still hasn't broken.

Easily one of my favourite guns, wanted a model 2006m so badly I had to jump through a million hoops to track down a Marushin Airsoft 2006m since that was basically the only option, and then importing it into the UK was a six-month customs nightmare, but it was well worth the wait.

so what does it take to import them? does it push up the costs like to Korth/Manurhin levels?
@lordmcted9 жыл бұрын
Heya, awesome vid bro, I'm not certain but I think it's designed for loading right handed, try switching to your left and tilting it to the right to load rounds with your right hand, I heard it was done that way because most people are more dexterous with their right hand for single rounds.
@furiousoyster216610 жыл бұрын
DW15 uses a similar barrel system you probably know but if u run about 12 hot rounds thru it. When it heats up it makes the barrel waaaay easier to remove.

Hey i noticed you havent posted on the channel in a couple years so maybe you wont answer, but how did you go about importing the Mateba 2006m. I really want one lol
@aserta11 жыл бұрын
Oh and very important, almost forgot. Always start slow, using a lever and a vise with padded jaws. 50% of the time a bolt or wrench is broken because people apply the weight strong from the start. Or expect it to snap open. In case you decide to open it, good luck!

@salty_armorer40278 жыл бұрын
Forgive my ignorance, but how do you personally import a firearm? I thought only import companies could do it.
@LifeSizePotato8 жыл бұрын
I paid an importer to do it for me. FFL01s (aka your typical gun dealers) are allowed to do occasional imports on their own, also.
@GregLoutsenko11 жыл бұрын
it doesnt matter if its a collector's piece or not, your life is more important than that. the question is can it stop an attacker or not. i think revolvers are mechanically less likely to have any kind of stoppage or malfunction.
