I opted for function over form and chose CKB Ltd Bicycle Signalling System Wireless Remote Control Bike Indicators(front and rear). They are each turn signals or 4 flashing lights. It communicates my intentions better because some see hand and arm signals and don't have a clue. This made me think about KITT.

Yeah, the remote will NOT turn on the light if you turn the power off on the side. First, you have to hold down the side button on the light itself. That means you have to stop riding and turn it on old school if you forget. When you press a button on the remote (after you turn the thing on with the button on the side) a little LED will indicate which button you have pushed and simulate what is happening on the light. But if you hit one of the turn signals, the little light on the remote keeps blinking even when you turn that signal off? That is the only annoying problem I found.

Now imagine 'signalling' with this light that you are making a turn. They won't see it, and they will NEVER react to it. That's true even of the lights whose turn signal is much more obvious.

The big problem is you would have to be very close to be able to understand that the turn signals were supposed to be "TURN" signals., and which WAY you were supposed to be turning.

I am looking for a turn light that is mounted in front right next to your hands.. Why? Coz not just for front but also can be seen from behind you.. I think i gonna DIY a car turn lights which is amber color and flashing also that is oy intended for turn signal. For this Mielan, ths controls are worst. Should be in separate buttons for which signal.

I encountered the same problem and found the fix. These units are equipped with a light sensor that won't allow the unit to function if light conditions are too bright outside. It's a battery charge saving function (I don't like it). If you need more info just let me know.

No way to know if you’re indicating or not without looking behind yourself at your light to see what mode it’s in, the remote should of had an led on left and right buttons or should of bean a leaver switch so you can know by looking at the position bad remote as the lights itself are fine tho let down how the remote was designed

The laser are a nice idea but completely useless. They're not very visible in daylight and at night as long as the light is bright enough to get drivers attention - and as an added note they're in flashing mode - drivers will always change lanes when passing. At least that is my experience riding at night. The lasers don't really help with that. But, if it is a bright laser I suppose it will aid in making you more visible at night depending how reflective the road is.

nice idea, terrible execution. Turning signaling works terrible, only orange part should work, as how international standards on cars work. Creating "new bike standards" just for your light, creates nothing but a disco under your seat. The controller should be placed as close to fingers as possible if u really wanna use those turn lights when going, u don't wanna jump with your hands from left to right. Also whos interesting in braking light, this model does blinking when notices slowdown,but again, execution is terrible. I noticed that electric scooters and some bike lights uses red blinking as indicating stopping, thats also bullshit, It should either get brighter in red or get more lights to light up in red, as we are all used to see on roads. Again - creating new standards just because it is a bike light - nobody makes to take ur light signals seriously. Xmas lights under ur seat.

Hab ich auch aber das selbe produkt anderer Herrsteller,die fernbedienung hätte besser verarbeitet mehr haptik die knöpfe sind billig und manchmal keine reaktion auf dem Lichtempänger,die Laser funktion ist totaler mist wer braucht das? dies hätten die weglassen können und dafür das bremslicht einbauen können, und auf wiederholten drücken des blinkers die möglichkeit den blinker wieder zu deaktivieren,aber ansonsten ein tolles Garget für den Nacht verkehr!

Too many light pattern options. Most make the turn signals being interpreted as turn signals, kinda iffy. Which could get you killed. Keep the lights the same as cars to avoid confusion. Solid red bar only. If you want a blinky red light, which is an excellent idea, get a small one and mount it a few inches above/below a light like this.

The turn signals are awful. It should just light up one side of the light and blink. They try to make it too fancy and it's hard to read. I would not have any faith in a driver actually knowing that it is a blinker.

Terrible UI. Slow response, no feedback or readout on the remote. Click on / off on the same button but you don't know without looking what mode you're in. And the "turn signal" is too indistinct to even justify that remote.
