Review: Moschino Isn't Just a Clothing Pack - Are Photography Updates For You?

My personal opinion, this pack looks like it should have just been free photography update. There's very few actual new clothes so it makes the collab seem a bit pointless. It sounds like the new career is repetitive. A lot of poses with the photography look really odd/awkward to me. And for me personally, the BB looks too limited. I can't imagine using it outside of a photo studio or industrial building. Photography is in the BG now, so I don't understand why they couldn't have just made this a free update for all (I mean, aside from wanting more money). But I'm sure it'll have it's fans, these are just my opinions.

agree what was the point in collab with a clothing line if the fashion was not part of the pack. The is clearly a money grab. and they knew the only reason anyone would buy this is the job which should have been free. Ea fire the sob who made those clothes before they try and make another pack.

Without it ,you can still do photography,only it's poor quality without poses and angles.Just like on Amazon you pay for the premium movies or pay to play better games. None of these people give anything major away for free. It sucks but yet they would go broke as a company if they didn't make any money and gave everything they made away. You could say the stuff packs are incomplete at launch... but that on purpose.

Maybe it just _feels_ this way without a direct comparison, but this pack feels so small. I figured with it being a Moschino pack, that there would be a lot more clothing options, while adding some contemporary build/buy objects. I feel like this should've been free or part of a previous back like Get Famous. The additions to photography are cool, and I love the backdrops and _especially_ the windows, but man. Definitely gonna wait for a sale, even if it's just two bucks less.

There is 10 build element less than in Washing Machine one and probably as much clothing options. Gameplay also isn't that new. So like - it's definitely a steal.

MJM I have to disagree. It was advertised as a fashion pack. Idk... maybe it’s just me but this easily could’ve been an update for sure. It feels like EA probably got money from Moschino if they add their stuff to the Sims so it feels like a business contract pack lol which H&M stuff was probably too in the Sims 2 but it had way more awesome clothing options.

You'd think a pack made in collab with a famous fashion company would have more FASHION in it. . .then again, most of those clothes are "eeeenh" to me. I do like the posing available with pictures, but it annoys me that it's apparently tripod-exclusive, and I have to say, I don't do much with photography anyway. I like some of the items, but if I do pick it up, I won't do so at full price.

Lol because most players did not who that fashion company was so it seemed like a advertisement and company contract deal in a gaming pack lmaooo On top of that there’s literally a small amount of clothing included into the pack and there’s also a graphic t-shirt in this fashion pack.... like what? Lmao compared to Sims 2 H&M stuff, this just falls flat on many levels. This was the same problem with Cast and Dogs and it’s Pets stuff pack that included a small category of items they could’ve easily put into the official C&D expansion pack. Like the moschino stuff could’ve literally been a part of the freelance update and it would’ve been fine or make the freelance update be included in the pack but don’t try to charge 10 dollars on the second 1/3 half of stuff that people could’ve had from the get-go with the original pack/update?

More photography options are always welcome for me. Would be nice if you could take photographs with sims posing on furniture. Place the marker underneath something and they'll pose on it would be cool. Take fancy photographs around the house!

Even though I think this stuff is hideous, not having a large amount of clothing in the pack it's named after isn't really a point in its favor. Just call it a less esoteric name. The main reason I'm being apprehensive is because of the name. Even though I know what the pack is really about, I have to freeze and think "Do I want to support this?". So far the answer is always no, the clothes are gross and photography looks cool but is locked behind this damning name. Photography isn't really something I care about but I've shelled out money for stuff like this before even though I've not used it past the release date. In those cases they are up front with what I was buying, now I have to think "If I support it will this become the norm?".

They’ve done a collaboration pack with almost (though I think it’s every) release of the game. It’s already the norm. They’ve done Deisel and Ikea that I remember, but there’s definitely others. They haven’t done it often so I don’t think it’ll become a more regular thing that it already is.

Oh, and can you just say the clothes aren’t to your taste, there are plenty of people that like them, myself included. I wish more people would be a little more considerate about this. You can dislike something, but that doesn’t make it objectively “gross” or bad, it’s subjective.

I don't know about the Diesel one but I really liked the IKEA and H&M collabs for the Sims2, it was super clear: 100% furniture for one and 100% clothes for the other. Simple, straightforward, efficient. I am not super fond of the recent trend of blurring the lines for the type of packs, squizzing skills and bits of carreers here and there to get more people to buy it. Just put stuffs in the stuff packs.

Romarine we have a difference of opinion then. I like the packs that have more than just stuff because I find them more interesting. But, if that’s actually your problem with them I misunderstood. I thought your complaint was about the commercialism of the packs being bad. Which, I actually semi agree with, but I also know it’s not a new thing to the sims and isn’t likely to become more common because I think, though I might be wrong, they cost a lot more to make due to licencing agreements which can be complicated. :)

really love that gonna try it out! thats what i want to do in real life someday soon and to be able to do it with more details in the sims (quite honestly a lot of gorgous female sims lol) is great! you CAN get the tripod WITHOUT the career so if you dont want to do the career stuff just use it as a fun creative way of taking sims photos!

I've looked around and have yet to find an answer to this. I took a break from playing Sims 4, but one of the things I used to like to do is make paintings from shot camera images. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to do it again. It looks as if they either changed how the process works, or they removed the ability altogether. Online searches return what appears to only be old information, as the directions no longer apply. If I recall correctly, you took the shots on the phone, and then started the painting based off of an "inspired" selection option, or something like that. Now there is no such option, nor is there anything on the phone the implies an ability to save an inspiration. Sorry of that isn't all that clear, but I am hoping that someone out there might have some info on what happened with this ability.

Photographer should have to learn how to color grade and edit before they can get excellent photos. Or some other skills real photographers have to acquire. Edit: I don't know if editing photos should be a player minigame, or like, menu wheel, or just an animation. But like it'd be cool in any form imo.

You could have mentioned this pack is full of bugs and is unplayable at best. The sims are uncontrollable, taking a group photo is a nightmare, taking a photo together (with a photographer or pet) is even worse than nightmare. The old studio is much better in this sense, but oh my, they didn't add poses to it :D Also, sims are much closer on the old studio photos, they are all separate for the most part on the new studio photos. The worst pack to the date.

I have almost everything Sims4 but on the trailer for this one, they show the sims sliding down a giant slide. I can not find this slide anywhere. Do you know which pack has this slide?

Hey, Deb. I looked into it, because I didn't see that slide in the pack. Those are actually Moschino models (ie not Sims) on the slide. They just have a kind of weird filter on the camera and it's kind of blurry. So, as far as I know, no such slide is in the game.

The last time I tried using photography, I got it a bit past halfway up, and it bugged and wouldn't go past that, then it wouldn't go farther and any Sims who didn't have it wouldn't learn it, so I couldn't progress in the style influencer career. Is there any way to fix this? (I'm on ps4)

I personal am not a fan of this type of pack, i.e. a branded pack, but this pack has a couple of good things in it, i.e. the tripod and camera, the back ground screen could do with a make over as the back drops a not as good as the base game back drops. I did how ever find the if you shrink down the green screens from get famous these make better back drops and just in case you not sure or do not know how to shrink items just use "[" the shrink and "]" to in large.

Hey. I've been a Game Changer since the program started, but it's more important to disclose on a review like this. FTC regulations require indicating when a product was free. It's a total non-issue on the other 99% of my content. It's still not a paid position, or anything like that. Even if it were, we're allowed to be critical where we desire to be.
