Lots of fun stuff, but I really liked that Recce unit. I don’t field Dutch, but that’s what I’d build.

Its nice to see we're getting the RNZAF Skyhawks, but I was hoping to get to see the RAAF F111 make an appearance as an air support option

I’m not sure F-111 was tasked with close support. Weren’t they more strategic strike aircraft?

I am super excited for the F-16's usable by the Dutch, Belgium, Danish and Norwegian forces. Such a logical and good addition next to the tornado. Oh.... wait......

U are better off with two separate 1/144 F-16 plastic kits from another brand, cheaper, clear parts and all plastic.

@@OneofInfinity. Oh sure, that is what I am going to do, but it would have been nice to have an actual unit (card) for it. Also - while I like normal models - they are way less robust and harder to bring along to other places

F-16s would be nice, but I think the issue is kits. The Academy F-16 kit was carved by a blind man who had only read one described second-hand. There are others, but I'm guessing getting a licence to package these plastic kits from the manufacturers is hard. Plus they usually have more parts than a wargaming kit. None of that helps you wanting an F-16 - I can just see why it's hard for BF. Maybe you should petition them to make a Community Card for it, and people can source their own F-16 kits. Or whatever the Academy kit's supposed to be...

The harriers for example were just a team yankee labeled version of an existing model kit from Japan iirc. When i looked it up, they had basically every plane you could imagine at the same scale. And it was all like 75% cheaper than buying the team yankee model. What you're really paying for is the card in those official kits, so if you get the full deck I don't see why you'd buy the official ones tbh

I do like the Belgian recce and the Dutch one but kind of thinking Anzac’s as they will fit nicely with my Brits

Nice overview. If I will choose one of the Nations it will be France I guess. Because they have unique vehicles. Or the Beligians: I like small nations.

This looks like a great addition to TY. I'm a bit surprised that the Aussies are still tied to British forces as we tended to play more in the US sandpit back in the 90s. At least now the NATO lesser countries are fleshed out, so they nations like the Aussies are now more stand-alone forces. With WW2 Finnish forces, you have to special order the upgrade parts for their Stugs. Not that keen doing things this way. I'd much prefer to buy these upgrade kits from my preferred stockist. So I hope they don't go down that road, but I'd prefer to buy a box set with the upgrade parts for my army and special order if I want more of one thing or the other.

In the 80s, the training rotations in Europe were with British units, so it makes sense to attach them there. As for the upgrade packs, I am guessing that’s BF’s strategy going forward. It makes more sense than dozens of different box sets for all the different nationalities fielding one vehicle.

@FogofWar Thanks for your reply. Because Australia rotated units and still does today, it means Australian units become a part of the British Army rather than a standard alone top-tier Army. I think of Team Yankee in two parts, early and late periods. With the late period, you add M1A1 or T-80s to your Army list and makes it a bit fairer, as you know what to bring along in your Army. I believe these conversion packs are a long-term plus for the game. However, I simply wish they were general release to the sellers so you can buy local support for your gaming store rather than ordering direct. It also impacts me living in Australia. If I order from the UK, it can take 8 weeks to get here as opposed to 7 days from anywhere in Australia or NZ.

@@FogofWar however long it takes for the Commander's panoramic independent thermal vision to be added to the spru haha, would be an interesting bit of kit if they gave it the rule of being able to counter mistaken target or some other role similar
