REVIEW | Naturehike Cloud Up 2P Lightweight BackpackingTent

If you are looking for a 2 person tent that is built strong and durable but doesn't wanna break the bank, this is for you!
It comes with a footprint. The tent bag contains the tent body, the rainfly, single-system pole made of 7001 aluminum alloy, 11 pcs of aluminum stakes, with 2 extra guy lines. I tested it in a 3-day trip in the South Sierra along the PCT a week ago. It held up great in the wind as in it never moved while my other friends' tents were almost got destroyed. Warm inside. It has a single window at foot section for ventilation. Also a single pocket located above the head area near the door. It is a front door design with vestibule. Also designed with extra skirt for the rain, too much wind or even snow. Although it is a 3-season tent, this might also be used in the winer. I might try it next time.
The tent weighs 3.3 lbs. which is not bad for a two person shelter. Made out of 20D Nylon Silicone polyester fabric. This one is color grey with red combination.

Nice review Robert. Naturehike makes some decent budget gear. These cloud ups are very similar to the Big Agnes Fly Creek, which is a well tested design. The Cloudup 3 they sent me a few years back was very roomy.

I feel like I just saw a review on this tent... I did, I did. Great review... For the price, you can't go wrong. The only issue I see is how the rainfly drags on the ground, with a little constant wind it might damage it.

Ha ha ha! You know me and Alan did reviews on two same items. Thanks, Jason. The skirt design is actually for windy situation, rain and snow. I guess I have to put that in some tests as well. By the way, they have also like this but without the skirt.

That’s true, David and another dude have the Big Agnes and Tarptent, they almost lost them due to crazy wind while setting up. My tent never moved and held on.

Looks good but Three pounds??? I wouldn’t want to schlepp that around a lot. Looks more like a winter tent. I also think a two person tent should have two doors so you do t have to crawl over each other. I’d take it in winter bc I like the flap at the bottom.

Yeah, it’s in the heavy side but again for the price. Some people would be looking for a decent shelter and not to break the bank as well.. I’ll try it in winter but without the tent body.

for its weight it is more robust as a tent which weighs only 1 kilogramm. So i would say with the cloud up you are mor likely to survive in strong winds or high in the mountains in compaison for a tent under 1kg. So i think it s worth it to carry some extra weight.
