In Hasbro's defense, I think it's good that they made the mag NOT orange, to make it easy to distinguish at a glance from all the Elite mags if you threw them all in a toybox or duffel bag. The molded-on scope is just indefensible, though.

I used to skim through your videos a few years back when I was checking out Nerf guns, and just recently got back into them with my son. Noticed this one in particular online and was ecstatic about the more realistic bolt action mechanism on it but I wanted to get some opinions on how well it performed. Thanks to your review I'll absolutely be getting this, and this was a fantastic and informative review, It's nice to know that the bolt action feel on this can feel satisfying to someone else who has fired bolt action rifles before.

This is a very good gun honestly, it feels very nice, the reload is satisfying, the reload system feels natural (similar to a real gun, I think) the performance is very good, and the accuracy is great especially when you use ultra accustrike darts, the grip feels very sleek but not slippery, and the 10 shots also really help compared to the usual 5-6 in most nerf sniper rifles, hopes this helps

Thanks for another fun review Frank. I bought a new Pharaoh some months ago and share your views about the scope. However, it isn't moulded into the blaster's shell but is clamped by the two brackets at the top of the shell. If the four screws that hold the two halves of the brackets are removed, it is just possible to prise apart those halves and release the scope. Once I'd done so I found a short tac rail, screwed the brackets back together, fitted the rail and mounted an Eagle point scope on it. I was very pleased with the result and would like to think I've earned some style points for my efforts. Once I've worked out how to send a photo of the modification I'll do so. All the best.

Suggestion for a future episode: Types of Reloaders! Examples: The efficient (does nothing special and reloads quickly and efficiently, always carries 18rd straight mags) The tacticool (does some cool trick with the magazine before reloading) The "tacticool" or wannabe tacticool (tries to be cool while reloading but completely fucks up and makes himself look stupid) The noob (reloads terribly and fumbles with the blaster for a while before getting it to work finally) The turtle (reloads correctly and precisely but does so very slowly) Mr. "I don't wanna hurt the mags!" (always sets the magazine on the nearest table or carries the empty ones so they don't damage them) Drums for days (only uses drums, despite them being bulky and loud when carrying extra) The borrower (only has 1 mag for some reason, always borrows from others and carries no extra ammo) other suggestions are welcome

I just wanted to let you know that even though I'm not super into the NERF hobby, I still enjoy your videos quite a bit! I actually do competitive riflery and use a bolt-action rifle on a regular basis on the range, but my hometown has ordnances that prohibit recreational firearms shooting except for at the town's skeet range. I like how your version sounds all quiet and nice. I have one that sounds like you're firing a real gun, it's so loud, and shoots *VERY* fast. However, the wide barrel seems to give it random bullet(dart) spread. If it did somehow hit a fly on a wall, the fly would die instantly or be severely injured in one shot. It kinda feels like they forgot to add the part that makes it not sound like a nail gun.

The only bolt action rifles I use regularly is a Blaser which is a straight pull bolt, they are actually really common in the UK and Europe and especially in Germany, not sure why some companies still use the downward locking action.

My very first elite blaster, a Disruptor, just arrived from Amazon yesterday. I had recently bought an Alpha Fang, which I quite liked. I think the biggest upgrade is the fact that all 6 shots are just as strong as the first, where as the Fang's 4 shots get weaker and weaker as they go. The disruptor is bulkier though, and with more moving pieces it rattles a bunch, and makes me want to be more cautious when putting it down. The price gap in my country isn't that big, so you can't even buy two Fangs for the price of one Disruptor, but honestly? They're just as fun as each other. My next purchase won't be another elite blaster, but an Alpha Cobra. Now that'll be a proper hands on comparison to the Disruptor. Yes, I am a casual Nerfer now, thanks to this channel.

Nice design and performance! Personally I would rather they have both sides of the magazine in clear plastic which would make it more friendly for left-handed firers, and as a right hander I would have preferred if the bolt and chamber opening had their sides swapped for practicality. This blaster's action reminds me of a SAW Ultimax without the jams XD (Btw I think real life snipers shoot from 800 meters or more, not 900 feet :p)

I want to get a Pharaoh and put in the short dart mod kit. I love the feel of using a bolt action sniper rifle and it seems this one will actually be strong and accurate as well (when modded). I would also cut off the scope and put a real one on there. I found a rifle scope for $1 at a yard sale. It uses a thinner rail mount though (not sure what it is). I currently own 0 ultra products or even ultra darts though... thanks to you Coop.. lol!

Do you guys ever think of a silencer options just for the look and feel of a shadow operator? 🤔 I think it's better be a normal head so you can attach silencer on all Nerf guns in the future. If you can upgrade these with that option, there must be many who would appreciate it. 🤷‍♂️👌

Love the review, problem I have with the ultra line is if they went through the process of making an entirely new ammo type, building an entire line of blasters around them... why were the slugs not tested, I can think of several ways in which the ultra darts can be made better without hardly any cost. Nerf needed a home run with these guys, but dart zone is quickly over taking the game.

Ultra has so much potential, such a shame they don't really exploit it, the darts shoot accurately sometimes, not having a hole on the inside makes them more durable, the power output is higher than some rival blasters, they could have done so many amazing things with ultra, but here we are...
