I actually prefer this 'door built into the tub' - and for two reasons: 1) No socks, washcloths or other tiny items will get stuck in the door seal, as there is simply no room for them, because the edge of the glass door is much closer to the tub. 2) They don't care much about balancing issues and (in my eyes at least) seem to be much tougher, than washers with the door attached to the outer chassis.

Oh look it's the Not-Asko Zanussi. Unironically love this machine.
@danhutchinsonbackup8 ай бұрын
Still better then asko because there's a fridge like outer door stopping cat tails getting caught in the shaking tub during unbalanced spins

Even old school AEG's had to have a button pressed in with the drop down Door to make the timer work. And that was the 1960's.
@danhutchinsonbackup8 ай бұрын
@@whichwasher2007 exactly. It’s fine to have the door attached to the tub as long as there’s an outer door. And also the Dyson cro1 has the door on the tub and a safety outer door. This is something that Asko do wrong is not putting a safety outer door

I noticed modern washing machines don’t really have that much difference in water levels. I’ve seen some brand new machines fill as high as halfway up the glass!

My hotpoint fills half way up the glass on the rinse when doing full loads

@danhutchinson what model of hotpoint is it that you have. Its great that it is able to water levels like that as it results in a good quality rinse.

I think you did a wash cycle with this small/compact washer and I commented that it is weird that zanussi designed it with a internal glass door on the drum and have an external door with no window in it that has the interlock ~ you can’t see what it is doing when working properly (apart from looking at the program dial) ☹️ ~ just as infuriating with the indiset moon, European top-loaders and some tumble dryers that have doors with no window in them - I like to be able to see it working

Personally, I feel bad for this machine. It looks like it's on it's last legs, and all that mould and dust it's collected over the years.

How does the quick wash button work? Does the timer motor go faster or does the timer stay on when it is usually off?
@whichwasher20078 ай бұрын
There's 4 segments during the wash stage that are only 2.5 minutes long in Quick wash mode. Think these normally are 7.5 minutes. Saving 15 minutes on non-fast 40'c and 20 minutes on cotton 60'c, 95'c and Economy.

Where is this guy getting all these machines? I wanted to find one of those old machines, but they are like non existant, yet this guy has like hundrets hidden somewhere. 🤣 Must be pain in the butt maintaining all of them (i mean the doing the maintanance wash every month for each machine [if he does them])
@whichwasher20078 ай бұрын
They get a 90'c wash, and then the filters taken out. Drained out and the filter left in the drum for air to circulate in it to keep it dry. Then put away into storage. I get amazed when I use one for the first time in 3,4,5 years and nothing gose wrong on it.
