Review of 23ZERO 1400 Bandit Swag after cold weather camping.

My beautiful wife and I have camped in all kinds of weather conditions in our 23Zero 1400 Bandit Swag. I took the 23Zero 1400 Bandit Swag on a camp out in Norther Illinois, February in 35 degrees Temps on a windy night.

Great review, have been camping in swags for years. Here is Aus they have always been popular and are one of the easiest ways to camp (I think anyway). When we go camping with the family I'll take a large tent for the wife and kids and I sleep in the swag. I would struggle going back into a tent I think, I just prefer a swag. Yes they are bulky but given they contain your mattress and bedding (sleeping bag), it's understandable and in 5-6 minutes you have your camp set up, perfect. I know plenty of people who used to have roof top tents of all types and have actually gone back to a swag. As I said great review, thanks for your effort, cheers.

We normally just break the poles down and leave the them in the sleeve when it is rolled up. Save time and works well.

23ZERO's largest Swag is the 1550 Outbreak which is 5.5" longer + 6" wider + 6.5" taller. So, if you need more space or want to fit 2 adults more comfortably and be able to sit upright without your head touching the ceiling, that would be the one to get!

My beautiful wife and I camp in the 1400 and it is fine, but it would be nice to have a little more room. The 1400 fits perfectly across the truck bed (side to side) and I'm wondering if they designed it that way on purpose? Thanks for watching.

So far, after several uses, everything still functions. The material and zippers have the feel of great quality. I'm sold. I know they are made in China, but the quality is good. I wish wish wish these were made in the U.S.A.

When you go to a bonfire party at your mates property, you set up your swag first thing. So when you're shit faced at the end of the night you have a safe warm place to sleep.

It is very comfy. When I was a kid/teenager, we used to just sleep in a sleeping bag or blankets under the stars. Later in life I tent camped and when the kids were little we used a pop up camper.

I leave my poles in the sleeve and roll up the swag. It makes setup and pack up a bit quicker.

Where swags can really shine is during bad weather, assuming you’ve got a good quality swag like you have here (i have the 1550 outbreak). Unlike your typical nylon tent, they dont noisily flap about when its windy, they pretty much keep the sun out so you dont wake up at 5am & can be very storm proof (cheapies swags wont cope well tho, so be warned!). Being very durable, yeah they’re heavy BUT they are made to be a total sleep system(?) meaning it has a mattes & all your bedding including your pillow for ultimate comfort & a good nights sleep (as you explained) 👍 Highly recommended but not for backpacking. You can get biker swags tho that are light, narrow & very minimalistic which you could carry if you really had to.

I'm very happy with ours. I definitely wouldn't try to lug it around very far, but for car camping it is great. We have camped in it in the rain, but we still ran a line and tarp over top of it. I especially like how thick the floor material is and how it runs up the wall a little bit to keep any water on the ground out. Thanks for watching and I appreciate your comment very much.
