I use the Acme 122gr 9mm FP bullet regularly and find that loading to a seated depth of 1.065" initial trial, finally at 1.050" works the best for me in multiple 9mm brands and sizes of pistols. A comparison of the bullet "Ogive" will help with the load data. I have been using my data recorded from prior use of X-Treme bullets. I have also discovered that when choreographing the speed is up on an average of 60-70fps with the identical powder charge used for other bullet brands. Thank you for the important mention of the need to "bell" the case an additional amount, plus the lesser crimp to avoid any scraping or chipping. Nice, Honest video-Thanks

New to reloading, hand loading with a Lee hand press. On the belling, my first attempts to seat and crimp resulted in my bullets (Berry 115 plated) were getting jammed in the die. I had to sit back and review the process and reloading sources but eventually I guessed correctly that I hadn't flared the cases enough and was thusly pushing / jamming the rounds into the die instead of seating them into the brass so I wish I had seen this earlier. Also the shipping cost is offset quite a bit when you buy a bit more bulk. The 9mm ships for at a cost of $13.50 for 1000 rounds.

80% of bullets I use are Acme bullets. And I believe their prices per bullet are good. But if you do only order 100 bullets, common sense should tell you that shipping is going kill your price per piece. I order at least 1000-3000 at a time and shipping is only 15. Quality and service is top notch.

I couldn't agree with you more. ACME has been one of my favorites to deal with. And you are right, small qty's are definately more expensive. I usually buy in larger qty's. But, when trying out a brand new bullet I like to try a few to see how they work. So, that's why I'm focusing on smaller orders for these tests. I've had to deal with their customer service in the past and they were awesome.

My buddy gave name 2 boxes of 500 of these the other day. Nine and 10mm versions. I cast my own but just picked up my first 10 mm and didn't have a mold yet. My barrels slug a thousands smaller than both caliber ACME bullets. I’m sure they will shoot just fine.

…and my 9mm are green as well. I powder coat my cast bullets. I like it a lot better then the Hi tec paint ACME uses. Powder coating is a lot more durable IMO. I love the boxes!

You should check "Graf and Sons" for these bullets. A box of 500 Acme 9mm 125 RN NLG BB Coated bullets are $48.99 and a flat rate shipping fee of $12.95 per online shipping. They also come in boxes of 100.

Kool vid, I almost exclusively shoot acme in 9mm for the range n plinking. We shoot alot in my family and my shop carrys them. I heard good things, when I saw he carried them $43 for 500 = yes please! Now that is my go to, I usually get 500 122gr fp and 500 125gr rn. He also carrys the 147s but I have no purpose for them, never tried them.

acme is really good but because of the coating it's a little bigger than .356, i made the same problem when i first use it. the solution..... get a lee bullet sizer, bullet's uniformity will increase a lot

Awesome review and info, I haven’t tried ACME bullets yet because of the points you have brought up, especially since I’m new to cast reloading. that being said ACME is a home state company for me so I’m definitely going to give them a try, also the box is pretty unique and never knew that’s how they sent their bullets, definitely makes for a fun and multipurpose item to have in the reloading den.

Great! They are very good bullets. And the boxes are pretty handy to stack up. I've got around 6 more of these review videos in the works. Some really good companies to deal with.
