TL/DR: This scale is very accurate within the 1 gram to 2 kg range, which is going to cover just about all your coffee measurement needs. It's pricey but you do get a pretty good scale for your money.
Pros:
o Very accurate
o Has some fancy features to measure pour rates, if that's your thing
o Runs on batteries, which is great
o Uses USB-C for charging so no worries about proprietary power cables
Cons:
o Expensive
o No overlaid text explaining complicated UI and functionality
o Overloaded buttons
You can see a problem with the UI right off the bat, when I was unboxing I confused the timer button with the power button. The only indication of the difference between the two is a slightly indented legend that is black on black, making it easy to make mistakes.
In addition, they have committed what I consider to be the cardinal UI sin of embedded devices: overloading buttons. Long press does one thing, short press does another thing. C'mon guys, dedicated buttons that do one thing and one thing only.
Anyway, as for performance, I'm super happy with the scale. I tested it throughout it's 2Kg range using my reference weights, and the worst readings might have been 1% off, but in general they were in much lower than that. When weighing a full kilogram it was dead on at 1000.0 grams. That's impressive.
The big deal on this scale is that it's quite expensive. If you really need a lot of precision, and the esoteric features this scale offers, well then buy all means lay down the cash and get it.
But if you would be satisfied with a simple kitchen scale that weighs things and does not much more, you can get something pretty good for a lot less money.

Very reasonably priced set here is what I use: amzn.to/3AwqIZb . If you start needing 5 kg or 10kg weights you’re going to spend more but mostly because of shipping.

Okay I do not have the scale in my possession any more. I do not think it has a calibration option, just the normal zeroing/tare function. Considering how good it was I didn’t even worry about it.

😂 Hilarious! He obviously used that scale to dose out some coffee to get nice and caffeinated before making that video! I honestly wish I could talk that fast! Being from good ol’ tennessee, we just don’t talk that fast down here!
