Loved this! I totally agree with liking when each card has its own spirit and character. You always find little details that are really cool to know, like the omission of the earth element on the extra cards! I always thought it was odd even in the Thoth deck and how we are kind of supposed to have The Universe card play both Saturn and Earth sometimes, very strange. Also thank you for the tip on the book!

Thanks for checking this video out James. Yeah, the Earth element is always ~special, but sometimes it’s hard to grasp - I still don’t really get it or understand the nuances of it. Another commenter said the book may be updated in March!!! But idk if I can afford buying it a second time for the additions 😭

Thank you!!! It takes me a while to find a good loop hahahaha and yes, I can’t believe this was the deck that made me feel so enamoured. It may wear off once I get newer decks 😂😂

I saw a comment by one of the creators saying that the book is being updated and will be available in March. The changes include descriptions for all 6 of the extra cards. I am hoping for more detail about the artwork and color pictures instead of silhouettes. This deck has so much potential but it needs a good guide book. I loved your deck review, another great video. Your content lately is really meaningful and on point. Thanks, Casper.

Thanks for that information Mercedes; I wouldn’t know otherwise!!! I don’t mind a lack of color (Blurb’s printing can be pretty expensive), but not including a guide to the extra cards was 😿 to me. I agree with you completely that it’s a great deck without a great guidebook. Really appreciate your feedback 😭 I’ve been trying new things, for example with switching up camera angles but it takes a while longer to film and edit, so I’m just hoping it’s all worth it!!

This deck gives me subtle creepy vibes, which I love... the right amount of "weird" in disguise. It's in my wishlist now 🙏😉

Casper, I'm a bit late with my comment, but I remember seeing this deck and being intrigued but not ready to take the plunge. Now it feels like a deck I'd love to work with. Now that you've had it for a while, are you still enjoying it? Is it easy to read with? Do you have the updated guidebook, and what are your thoughts on it? I'm drawn to the deck but I want to make sure that it's a workable one for me, not just a beautiful piece of art sitting there gathering dust. Thank you! PS I love this style of review and the fact that you offer time stamps. This is a fantastic format!

I still enjoy this deck!!! It’s very whimsical and I really like the art. I also like that one spirit per card static feeling of it but not everyone likes that. However, I don’t have the updated guidebook so I can’t comment on it :( I can’t promise you’ll find this deck usable I think many people don’t, but I will say I still use it 🥰🥰 thanks for letting me know timestamps he’ll it takes me some time to really type them all out ❤️❤️

@@BoyDiviner Casper just wanted to let you know - I finally got the deck after circling around it for over a year :) All I can say is, I'm IN LOVE! We just clicked immediately and so powerfully. Shockigly, it's an extremely natural and easy reader for me. I also got the updated book and it's honestly phenomenal. It does cover the extra cards as well as the rest of the deck, and the descriptions are evocative, poetic yet grounded. This is fast becoming one of my absolute favorites, I'm so glad I listened to my intuition and gave it a chance!

This is such an interesting deck, I've been admiring it on your IG! I really like this type of more in-depth review, I'd rather hear your opinion about what kind of deck it is & what the artists might have intended for it than just having a general walkthrough. The carnival imagery reminds me of Nier Automata the game - that also has a strangely heartbreaking carnival part in it. And it doesn't really seem like a RWS deck to me - some of the cards (like the Tower you showed) seem almost like they inverted the original meaning, like they're supposed to provide some ironic commentary on the RWS cards? This might also fit in with the carnival theme since wandering carnival, circus or even theatre troupes tended to stay on the fringes of society & therefore had more freedom in expressing controversial opinion in a playful way. Maybe? Just a thought!

Thanks for your thought out comment and feedback, Vanessa! You’re right about how it does subtly bring the Nier:Automata vibe. I didn’t finish the game but I did arrive at the circus in the game + the dystopian vibe is also present in this deck. It’s a RWS based on the book, but maybe it’s because I’m also reading the entries on a surface level? I’ll read more in depth soon hopefully ❤️ at the same time, that irony for sure seeps into my readings. Do you mind sharing your IG? I just wanna make sure I’m following back!!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Fun lil fact that put the Tower csrd in perspective for me! The entire deck is designed with climate change/human influence on nature in mind - in quite a few cards u can notoce it. In the tower, man made things are the tower to the surrounding nature, our stable concrete homes are the distruction looming over the natural world. - my mind was blown when i heard someone in a video say something like this (dont remember which video sadly), hope it helps someoje else contectualize the cards better too!
