A good way to explain exponents is the power tells how many factors there are. 1 factor =s the base. I didn't think of that myself, but when I heard another teacher say it that way, it made sense to me. Anyway I know anyone watching you will understand how it works, because your detailed explanations are second to none.

Yes Sir, squaring a negative number can be tricky if don't remember how the parentheses affect your answer. Without the ( ) you will get a negative number. I'll admit, I need more practice starting at 14:55
