Are those setups available in the North American market?? I love my older Patu skidding trailers!! But I live in the USA and have to order parts from Canada.

Interesting to hear someone from America show interest in this type of equipment. Most Americans i've spoken to seem to be of the opinion that these setups are much too expensive, or that they're too slow and cumbersome compared to just using an excavator or a tractor with a front loader. From your experience, do many people use these types of tractor-driven logging trailers with cranes in America? Or is it more of a European thing?

@@Fraggr92 :) I'm in a little nitch market were I'm at. I've been using Kesla/Patu skidding trailers for over 25years. They are getting fairly used up now. I have been getting my parts from Canada . We cut a lot of plantation pine in our area and the small skidding trailers with a farm tractor work very well for a lot less money. New forwarders are around 400,000 dollars. I'm sure this setup should be quite a bit less. They are just a little slower than the big forwarders but does much less ground disturbance.

Det är kanske svårt att hitta nära handlaren? Sen är det svårt att bedöma terreng på bild. Det kan nog vara bra mycket värre än det ser ut.

@@olenilsen4660 Samtidigt måste de ju vara rädda om maskinerna. Tanken är nog fortfarande att dessa maskiner ska säljas så de vill nog inte riskera för stora skavanker som kan sänka priset. Nog för att de säkert håller att köra i riktig skog, men det är ju betydligt högre risk att maskinerna repas och slits i riktig skog.
