I get all my gasmask for prepping on wish I think they will do the job like you said just have the right filters I prep for nuclear fallout i learned from someone who was in the military it really don't matter the 3M filter they will block out about anything because they are so think as long as the dust falling cant get through it I think its fine

The only thing slightly disappointing with 3M (and clone) filter masks compared military style masks with 40mm filters (either GOST or NATO) is that they are much harder to breathe through. Unfortunately, these 3M bayonet-fitting maks only have a 18mm diameter inlet size, so even with both filters being fitted (rather than military style, with one and a blanking plug) it's still harder to breathe than through a similarly-rated single 40mm filter on a military or police style protective mask.

My thought is that if it is comfortable and takes quality brand name cartridges that actually filter toxins , it’s good. I’m looking for a super squishy silicone half face respirator that’ll take brand name P100 cartridges . I need something that won’t put a lot of pressure on the bridge of my nose cuz it’s been broken 3 times right where a respirator rests . Any recommendations? Thanks so much 😊

Sorry to hear about your nose. I have broken mine myself. As far as half face respirators might not be a bad idea to go to a store that sells them to find out your best option. With your nose being sensitive you might not want to risk buying something online that in the end does more harm then good. Wish I could be more help. Cheers and Good Luck!

can you do “Grinding” in these, because the extraction valve flaps i have been told let particles in to your mouth, even when face fit and with and good seal?

I would think for grinding it would maybe not be your best bet. This is more for chemicals or painting and other applications. You can get particulate filters but you would have to do some further investigation to be safe and sure.

With this sort of mask, there is no way for particles to get inside, because they would have to magically get through the filters, which are designed to stop organic vapour and the pink addons also have (at least) P2/N95 protection for the organic filiters, meaning that the cheap particle filter pads can be changed without needing to throw away the still good expensive chemical protection filters. If you mean using an angle-grinder or other grinding machine to prepare the surface of metal for welding or painting, then this sort of mask is really overkill and the panoramic lens would be vulnerable to damage from sparks and fragments produced during grinding operations, eventually making it hard to see through your "expensive" full-face respirator. Much better to use ordinary goggles and a half-face mask: at least then you can replace the goggles as they inevitably become scratched and difficult to see through.

lol I forgot to mention that! There is a hole there but its sealed and only opens when you exhale, and then when you breath in it seals. Hope this helps

@@iansrandomreviews4528 also in the middle of the mask there is supposed to be a 40mm nato hole if you could possibly check. They advertise it to use 3m filters and 40mm nato.

@@bkackmagic555 I have checked the mask and where the plastic cover is in the middle it does look to clip off. It looks like it may possibly have a Nato hole but not exactly sure and it didn't come with directions lol. I will say though it does for sure take 3m cartridges. Cheers!
