What was that black ring on the roller / barrel?

Hello great review I have the rock and roll smart and nothing but issues, creaks and squeaks, calibration problems. Have you had any of these problems. I'm debating on going to to the same frame you have and re use the smart control. Btw I figured out how to calibrate. Although kurt wont tell you. Start with wheel at 0k not moving. Cold start spin down should be a 6 when warmed up a 7 spin down. Watts are still off on zwift but livable. Have you tried sprinting on your trainer? 800w is best if can do. On a friends tacx neo I can get 1400 watts. Thanks for your input

Jonathan Mitchell Mine is always about 50 watts too high. I don’t even bother with Zwift. Use it in erg mode with Sufferfest.

When I started using this trainer it was okay, but as I have started to use it more I have noticed calibration issues. I was able to fix that getting a trainer specific tire. As far as the power, it was under between 25 to 35 watts. I just got a stages power meter and I have noticed a big difference. When I ride on Zwift, I now use the kinetic for the controllable but for the power and cadence I pair the stages power meter and it is a lot better with more accurate data.

You guys are lucky to have the power only off by the amounts you specify. On my T-6400, the power readings are too high (compared to readings from my Assioma Duo power meter pedals) by about 20'ish Watts at low power (50'ish W on Assioma compared to 70'ish W on T-6400) and from there it gets progressively worse (170'ish W on Assioma compared to 300'ish W on T-6400). Essentially useless. Plus, as of Feb. 2024, Kinetic customer service is non-existent. I've contacted Kinetic about the problems with power accuracy 3 times in the past 2 months and have not heard back from them. STAY AWAY FROM THIS TRAINER AND THIS COMPANY.

Any reason why you didn't ride on the trainer to show what the noise level is ?

That’s what I hope hoping to learn about.

where does the black cord plug thing plug into? Is that the power cable?
@snoopda1andonly2 жыл бұрын
Hi, it is the power cable and it plugs into the back of the black controller.

so what about the left side with a quick release?
@snoopda1andonly3 жыл бұрын
That side just goes in. You can make adjustments to center the bike from that side by screwing the big thread of the trainer on that end but once you do it for the initial set up, you don't need to adjust it again.

Will this work with 120mm spacing?
@snoopda1andonly3 жыл бұрын
Is that for a fixie or city bike?

@@drewa4445 I believe it should fit it. There are about 3cm left of thread on the sides to accommodate narrower hubs.
