I started working at a fitness company working with the facilities install team. Been learning a lot about equipment.

Watching these reviews makes me want a garage gym in the future. That being said, I am using your programs to get prepared for AFROTC in hopes commissioning as an officer to become a pilot in the future. I am 250 lbs but down 46 from where I started and just continue to grind for the end goal. Thanks for all you’re doing Gritty, it doesn’t go unnoticed from not only myself but others as well! 😎

Liked and subscribed, also thank you for your service 😊 I think I’m going with a leg press machine ,as there’s always some comprise with dual machines . This machine isn’t bad ,but the foot plate for the leg press could be bigger imo

How does household goods handle these items? Scared for my treadmill haha.

They’ll love it all as long as you don’t bust weight. They may want to disassemble things depending on how they pack again.

how many boxes does the Leg press hack squat come in?
@GrandpaWazi4 ай бұрын
If I load the bars with 6 plates a side that's 540lbs nearing their 600lb claimed load capacity. I am 220lbs. I've seen previous videos where the stand was wobbly with significantly less weight being used while hack squatting. Have you tested the higher weight limits of this system? How stable is it? Is there a larger footpad for the leg press portion? Seems extremely narrow significantly hindering mobility and ROM compared to a wide stance where you can bring your kneed to your arm pits.

@@GrittySoldier thanks. I guess it depends on who is using the machine.

1. Wow i bet your wife loves putting all those boxes in the garage 😂 2. So i recently wanted to strength train my legs. Ive been using a couple weight vest plus holding on to a plate. Im at 60lbs and seeking to spend more money. Perhaps buying two 60lbs kettlebells would be sufficient. That would give me 80% my body weight. This could definitely be an option. The foot print seems comparable to a squat rack. 3. Which would you rather have a Squat rack or a Leg press machine? Perhaps the answer is too in depth for the comment section but these are my questions.

Powerlifter here. I see he never answered. I would love to help you make a decision on your strength training journey. If I could have one it will be the squat rack every single time. It translates very much to my daily life activities. For your decision you need to decide which is more important to you. Functional strength gains or more muscle mass in the legs. The squat gives you a much deeper range of motion than any leg press ever could. It also engages much more than your legs. You also activate your core, glutes, back, and even shoulders simply from load baring. All will get stronger simply from performing squats. All actions from the squat translate to functional strength and daily life activities. Use this scenario then put as many twists on it to make it apply to your life. A leg press wont make me better at moving bags of concrete on my shoulders walking them across a job site. A squat however will help as it also trains my back and shoulders to handle load all while having the strength to move it in a stable motion. Other scenarios may be picking up grandkids, yard work, daily house tasks, etc. Leg press wont benefit you the same in these types of scenarios as a squat will. The leg press, this one especially with it being so narrow, will target your quadriceps. You will not have the added benefit of training other muscle groups simultaneously especially the stabilizer groups. The leg press does all the balancing for you. This allows you to target a specific muscle group harder, push further as other muscle groups don't become a limiting factor, and cause a more hypertrophic effect aka bigger muscles. If you simply want good looking big legs the leg press would be the option for you.
