Hi I'm Mercury, and I'm Inspired by the world around me! Join me on my adventures and hopefully you will be inspired too.
My previous e-reader broke so it was time for me to get a new one. I opted for the standard Kindle. Here are my thought on it so far. The first book that I finished while using it was Finale: A Caraval Novel by Stephanie Garber. This is my thoughts on the third installment of the Caraval stories.

Interesting. I can see, based on your reviews, and also the excitement you had for the second one, how you would want to see the sisters' relationship carry the series a bit longer. Also interesting how romance took the front seat in this one. Question: is there an age difference between this book and the other books, or are the sisters the same age throughout the series? also, was there a hint of any romance starting in book 2? I personally do not think that every story has to have a romance plot or even an antagonist. Sometimes an individual, or in this case a set of sisters, can carry a series without any added genre (my personal opinion). I, kindly, wonder what the author was thinking when they decided to go in that direction (it could just be the natural course of life as well). An example the movie The Meg (i loved the movie and was so into the action, plot, and Jason's character but when they hinted on a romance at the end i was like boo and also confused -- i dont recall the romance build-up). Dont get me wrong, i love a good romance movie (one of my favorites being Claudine) but romance is not necessary to make a story that more interesting, its always weird when they squeeze it in or force it. Im glad that overall it was a good read (it sounds like it can stand alone. Can all the books stand alone? Do you have to read the books from 1st to last to enjoy and get the books?) Thank you for the review /s

no there are no significant time jumps between books for the most part they do pick up when the last left off. So the sisters are the same age through the series. Yes the romance was there in the previous books but it was an underlaying motivation and did not run front and center but by making that shift in the third book it also deeply changed some fundamental aspects of those characters. The books read as a continuous story and although I think you could catch on in the middle, I think the fullness of the story would be missed because much ground work is laid in the first book in particular (even in the since of understanding the world they are living in and how magic functions in that world)
