Nice succinct review- no gimmicks or background music 👍 Yes they look great but I do think the forehead rest should be included in the box for the price Swarovski are asking.

I think it was a backwards move on Swarovski’s part to stop applying the anti rain coating to their lenses. It diminished their product when compared to Leica and Zeiss who still apply a similar coating.

Thanks for the review. I have the 8x42NL too, and yes, the 14x52NL could be a great complement to it. But I was mulling whether I could go to the 14x52 as a "one and done" option, as a general-purpose binocular, and sell off the 8x42NL. Any thoughts on that ? For reference, I used the 12x42NL in the past, with the Forehead rest, and I could see that the FOV and the hand-held steadiness made it really usable as a one-and-done option. And then Swarovski came out with the 52s. I was thus wondering if the 14x52NL is comparable to the 12x42NL, from a hand-held-usability standpoint. We do not have a single 14x52NL available for sale, anywhere in the US (completely sold out), and thus there was no way to try it out in person. Thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. In response, Mike advises "For the sake of that little extra reach in magnification with the 14x52 you would be carrying more weight (+180 g), losing out on field of view (20m less at 1000 m) and extending the close focus distance by 1.2 m. On top of this, there is the extra £500 in cost for this larger size. High mag ,try before you buy as the hand shake is massive they even picked up my heart beat whilst using .try the forehead rest which should be free (£132 ) in my opinion. other than this swarovski products are stunning as are leica and ziess at this price level.
