I just bought a GCM 12 GLD, which does not have the speed control, that's a great feature I missed when doing my research

It's one of those things I have that very rarely gets used, but I'm especially glad when I do need it. If I forget to turn the speed down, kiln-dried douglas fir likes to smoke out the workshop. Depending on what you do, you may never need it. If you are cutting wide pieces of wood that is prone to burning, you can cut it slowly in layers going down 1/4" at a time depending on thickness. I found this helped a lot before I got this saw and even now still do it out of habit.

i have now to make a decision on which one I´ll buy, the GDL is great because you need not that much space because of the arm The SDE has the speed control and the Makita ls1210l is just sexy so I don't know which one is the best if anyone can give a advice I would be super happy about that
