Slipping pegs: a zitherists' trick. (If lutenists's chalk or rosin doesn't work.) Remove the naughty peg, put a little piece of paper or a thin piece of wood shaving in the hole, then put back the peg, so that the paper or the wood shaving falls between the peg and the wall of the hole. It will hold sufficiently for a long time. If this measure doesn't solve the problem, or if the problem gets worse in time, plugging and re-reaming of the hole may become necessary.

The older Caitlin soundboards didn't last, but that could be the Markwood Heavenly Strings rescaled for a replacement string set that may have been too heavy (which accusation they found insulting). Best to stay with the existing scaling. Thanks for the Stoney End demo --- I'd have done well to get one of them rather that the smaller Xythara I have.

Thanks for the revision of cross strung harp mechanics. I’ve been a hobbyist guitar & cello player and lately got myself a digital piano. Yes black keys are come to think of it pentatonic and if you strum the cross section it would be chromatic. How cleverly designed!

That tuning scheme is pretty clever. It looks like it would be confusing at first... but it seems like it would become intuitive once you try it. This may not be a top notch model as far as harps go... but it looks and sounds good to me. Great video.

Thanks :) It really is very intuitive if you're at all familiar with piano - I'm certainly not great at it, but the chord shapes are similar for the left hand.

You often say Pakistani harps don't last long, so I was curious - have you had one die on you in some way?

Hi- thank you for reviewing this harp. I have a quick question about the sound of the Stoney End Rebecca. The sound of the low notes on any recording I've been able to find seem to have a bit of a harpsichord-like twang. Is that what it sounds like in person, or is that just a result of the recording? Thanks :)

Try violin rosin on slipping tuning pegs.
