Great review of a magnificent album. My favourite band of all time.

Great video! Cool review. Such a killer album. I'm new to the VC. Posted my first video 3 weeks ago. I look forward to your reviews on the rest of the Doors albums. Cheers.

What is incredible about this record is the level of maturity that those young artists displayed. Very few bands achieved this result.

An outstanding album. I think that this album and L.A. Woman are their best. Have you ever heard The Doors Live in Pittsburgh 1970? It's their best live record indeed. It is a wonderful show and one of the few ones that Jim wasn't drunk, so not only him but the whole band are at their best form. A great performance.

@@luizoswaldoabreu2752 I agree: this one and LA woman are probably their best albums but all the others are also outstanding with (maybe) the only exception of soft parade. Thank you for suggesting the live in Pittsburgh. Indeed, I was looking for a live records by the doors

Hi It is one of the best first albums of a band. It still sounds as fresh as then. Take care.

What do you think about the '91 Oliver Stone film about the Doors starring Val Kilmer? In the special edition DVD they have extra features including an interview with the Witch lady that Jim Morrison dated, an incredible story that got me more interested in the Doors... and what it would be like to date a witch... 🤔

Is that extra also on the blu-ray? I really enjoyed that film and don’t have the DVD nearby.
