I really enjoyed your review. I also bought the Mele Overclock 3c this past August and have really enjoyed using it. After moving from a laptop for the past 7 years, it has really made things much simpler. Thanks for the info about the intake filter. I had no idea! I did have an issue with the installed OS several months ago and could not resolve it, so I recovered my original image (Macrium Reflect Free) and it worked like a charm. Also, I did the same thing that you did by installing a 512GB and cloning the eMMC OS to it. I tried Disk Genius to clone and it worked great. Thanks for the video! Jim

Interesting Stuart, I can see the advantage of 16gb and being upgradable to 32, I’m just hoping my quieter 3 fanless works ok when I switch from the ASIAIR soon!🤞

Hi Simon, I have been using the 8gb Quieter 3 for a while and it’s absolutely fine, I just got this at a really good price, so could not resist..clear skies..

Great video and thanks! Would you mind sharing how you actually mount this device on your rig? What kind of bracket do you use and where exactly do you mount it?

Hello, and thanks for the comment. I used to have mine on a losmandy dovetail plate on the top of my main scope, fitted using one of the 3D printed Buckeye stargazers losmandy clamps…it worked really well. Now as I have a mount with through the mount cabling, I have it mounted on my steel pier, just below the mount.

Appreciate this review. Just picked up the Overclock 4c after my Beelink just died on me after several years of use, waiting for it to arrive, and plan to follow the same recommendations. Curious, do you see any "vibration" created from the fans? I mount my mini pc's on a dovetail underneath the scopes and then my refractors are elevated on risers.

Thanks for the comments, it’s a great PC and no sign of vibrations at all, the thing is here in the U.K. the weather is quite cold all winter and so the fans are not really needed, I actually only ever bread the fans when running it indoors to test, but even then no vibrations and super quiet too..👍🏻

I bought the fanless 3C put an NVME drive in it cloned it & put all the astro software on it, tried it once & I pretty much gave up with it & haven't switched it on since July lol. We're off to kelling next month so will probably play around with it again there.

Hi, Sorry to hear that, what issues were you having ?

@@Astro_Shed Just getting everything to work basically, I were remoted in using google chrome had everything open & connected, at least that's what it were telling me but the mount refused to move or do anything. I wasted well over an hour trying to sort it out but just gave up plugged in the laptop & everything worked perfectly. I really wish a company would make something like the ASi Air it would save a lot of headaches plus I don't want to be tied into one brand.

@@dumpydalekobservatory I have never got on with any other remote software other than windows Remote Desktop Also there is an option like the ASI air for any brand of mount and kit It’s called stellarmate I used to use it for years 👍

Thanks for sharing. How is the Wi-Fi range on this device if you try to connect to it remotely?

Hi, thanks for the comments It’s the one thing I did not mention in the video, but the wifi is far better than the previous 3Q I used, about 30% better speed, I connect wirelessly all the time 👍
