The video is great, this digital voltage car charger is really good, I bought this renhotecic brand car charger not long ago, it's really good, if you need it when driving, you can prepare one.

Thanks for the review. I was interested in the one with the switch so I could turn the bright display off in my camper well I am sleeping. Will this work for that?

The switch turn off the power to the USB as well, so no lcd = no power.

The reason for the difference in ammeters is probably that the one in the charger is showing the current going into the unit at 12V, while the USB one is showing the current going out at 8.5V - which would be higher (power is volts times amps, and the power in will be about the power out, apart from heat losses inside the device - so reducing voltage from 12V to 8.5V will increase the current to match)

Thanks these reviews are excellent. Have you reviewed any of the 12v usb c sockets that can charge a laptop. claiming 60w up to 110w I think have seen . I have one that just plugs in the cigarette lighter and it actually works but how long and how on earth these devices can do what they do amazes me

You should try 12.6-14.4 like a car to see if it changes something. 12.0v in a car would be an empty battery.
