I used to own the SM SN020-G with a printed dial and sold it. I now own a genuine Tudor BB36. Other than the top grade ETA/Sellita movement in the Tudor, the SM is equally as good

Lol. Not even close. If you really thought that you’d be a fool to pay 2 thousand dollars more to upgrade to an eta…

@@mariog7213 the bracelet is as good, the lume is as good, and the case finishing is as good. Like I said, the difference is the movement, albeit the PT5000 in my SM was actually more accurate than the Sellita in the Tudor. I also own a Rolex OP which is better than the Tudor, but neither are worth anything like the asking prices. To be honest, owning two luxury watches left me feeling flat

Great review! I’ve always been curious about this brand. I’ve heard about them for a while, but this video helped educate me some more. Really enjoy the slimness of the case also.

Glad it helped! I have been slightly hesitant only because of the price, but this one definitely had the right price tag for me and I’m really glad I got it. I want to get one of their “70s snowflake submariner” homages next. The finishing from them is really fantastic

They are well over price point.

Ernesto loza, I respectfully disagree. The build quality, finishing, and the quality of the parts they use are well worth the price they charge. Especially this model

@@watchinout8832 I have the snowflake red pip diver and it's equally well finished. I got it on the 11.11 sale for just under $200 and it's worth it. I also got this one but with the numbers at 3, 6 and 9 - the Explorer homage. Wearing it right now and it's a very nice watch. The finishing is astounding for the price, and the crystal looks and feels amazing. I'm really impressed by the specs and the finishing for the prices.

@@ernestoloza8129 I don't think you'd say that if you had one. I have a Steinhart and multiple Christopher Ward watches and even an Omega Moonie Speedmaster (the real thing, not the plastic abomination) and even though the San Martin is not the equal of those, it punches way above it's weight. If it had Seiko on it dial, it would cost you $600 or more and you'd still have an unsigned crown and a crappy clasp (and maybe hollow end links) and people would be tripping over each other to proclaim what a great watch the Seiko was.

I only buy from San Martin and Ironwatch... used to have 2 Steinharts and I sold them both cause San Martin and Ironwatch are 2 levels above

I have the SM Bronze Abalone diver. The quality on their watches easily match watches thrice their price.

Quality appears superb. Also, I prefer this blue dial over the tiffany blue.

I have the black dial. It’s a good looking watch and it’s well finished for the price but really you start noticing the cost cutting after wearing them for a while. For instance the inner side of the bracelet feels rough and the links are not smoothed out just like all the edges around the entire watch which are quite sharp. It’s a good watch but doesn’t feel as smooth on the wrist as even a seiko.

Mine doesn’t have any sharp edges on the bracelet, but there are a few on the bottom of the lugs. It’s not enough to bother me and I think they more than make up for that with the specs that they offer. However I agree with you that they do need to focus more on those little details. It seems crazy to finish a watch as well as they do but then leave a sharp edge. Hopefully they’ll hear what people are saying. The vintage sub homage I reviewed recently was a little better though.
