-After several years flying with the Briggs & Riley International Expandable Commuter Carry On, I finally broke down and bought a new Tumi Alpha 2 Carry On from ebags.com on Black Friday 2018. AND I’M SO HAPPY WITH THE PURCHASE!
I consider Tumi to be the top luggage brand. It’s a brand synonymous with business and luxury travel, and it is coveted the world over.
In today’s video and blog post, I explain to viewers why I purchased the Tumi bag on ebags.com vs. Tumi.com, as well as give a tour of the inside of the bag to see the features first-hand.
But wait - there’s more!
After filming this review, I reached out to the ebags marketing team and formed an incredibly exciting partnership! Specifically, I am able to provide an exclusive 30% off coupon code for ebags.com, while also giving you the opportunity to contribute a few bucks to this channel if you follow the link to the Tumi carry-on below and make any purchase on the site.
Great news all around! Hope you enjoy!

The continental version of this bag is about 2 inches wider (16" as opposed to 14"). Any issues carrying it on domestic or most international flights? Having the extra room is helpful.

Thanks for the info. Can you share why you get away from Briggs and Riley? Thanks.

Sure! The B&R bag itself is terrific quality, but I wanted the full 22x14x9 dimensions that Tumi offered. Through my travels I’ve found that I am able to fit a little bit more into my Tumi bag than my B&R - which is essential for my longer trips. If most of your travel is just for a few days (I.e. business travel), then the B&R will be fine. However, if you’re like me and sometimes travel for over a week with a carry-on, you’ll want every inch of space you can get. Hope that helped, and happy travels!

Hi. Thanks for sharing your experience with Tumi. I recently purchased a Briggs Riley domestic carry on spinner to replace my old Travelpro. Which do you think is better, Tumi or Briggs Riley?

It's not really a review, more of an unboxing/demo. Anyway, if you came for the review and not a four minute Ad for ebags, skip to 3:55

Chiming in! In the dialogue of this video I mentioned that my husband had already been using his Alpha 2 bag for a year and had loved it, which is why I decided to purchase one too! As an update since it’s been a year since posting this video, he still is using the same bag when he flies for work every week and has had zero issues! I had to get mine replaced last November (which I talked about in my IG stories), and the Tumi warranty process was terrific! Hope this helps!

Isn't it too heavy??

I’ve been using this bag for years now without issues and love it, but I don’t usually fly on airlines that weigh people’s carry-ons (I’m from the US, so I fly all of our biggest airlines Delta, AA, United, Southwest). But, if you fly on airlines that have weight limits for carry-ons such as European discount carriers, then yes it might be too heavy of a bag for your needs!

Absolutely nothing about if tumi's a value. Who needs to have luggage explained? Because that's literally all you've done

@@MeansToTravel I think Cyndy was having a bad hair day. I thought your bag tour was great. Do the bumpers scuff easily?
@MeansToTravel
@MeansToTravel 2 жыл бұрын
@@MA7-6585 My Tumi bag has held up REALLY well and still looks good with minimal scuffs on the bumpers. I had an issue with one of the front zippers in Year 1 of owning it, so I used the warranty at the Tumi store to get it fixed. You can see me wheeling this bag thru ORD in December 2021 in my fairly recent "Fly With Us Travel Day Vlog" on my channel (around 1 : 05 in the vid) if you want to see what it looks like after many years of flying!
