It's been 9 years since you uploaded these videos and I am still watching these beautiful lectures. Thank you so much sir.

I just want to drop in and say thanks. I hope you know how much everyone who watches these videos appreciates the work you have put into them. I know this video was posted almost seven years ago, but your playlists have taught me everything I needed to know in my university physics class. Because of you I scored 20% higher than the average exam score. Thanks for the help. It's a shame I have to pay tuition to professors not actually teaching me anything and all I can give you is a like, but you've definitely earned it.

I can't understand the materials from just reading through the chapters alone. Thank you so much for providing these videos! You are a life saver

For the last problem, using right hand rule, the B field is going down the page (negative y) and looping back around to the top. Since magnetic field lines go from north to south, B is the north and A is the south. I am assuming that the problem on the right is asking the force that each wire will exert on the other. The top wire will create a B-field going into the page at the center. This B-field crossed with the velocity of the bottom wire creates a force pushing down the page (negative y).

I think it should be to the right because you would use your left hand since it is an electron.

2:43 So does the way you wrap the wire as a coil affect which direction the magnetic field goes?

Hi, How are you? I'm from Brazil so, i'm sorry for my english.. Firstly, thank you for your videos! You are a good teacher! Second, in a 4:54 minute you say that the force is to right, but the charge is negative. Wouldn't be the force to left? I'm sorry if I am making a mistake. Thank's, bye!

Oh, it's true! I'm a careless. I'm sorry. Thank's!

I disagree.Conventional current is curling through the solenoid, into the page on the left side, out of the page on the right side. When that happens the thumb points down towards B, and that means B is the north pole, and A is the south pole.
