I owned 2 different models of their vending machines for personal use (under the Saeco brand). Absolutely rock solid systems, only sold them off because they were a little on the big size. They are using the same brew group in this machine as they did in their vending machines. Philips did well buying Saeco.

Thanks Erin! Without a doubt, your video trumps all others on the 3200, including Philips’ own website (which is woefully lacking). So glad I saw this before I almost purchased a different model. Your video quickly checked all the boxes and didn’t show unnecessary unboxing, etc, but highlighted the most important feature of this unit: Ease of use (can’t stress enough), ease of cleaning, best bang for the buck.

I bought this machine a month ago and the main reason why I got the Philips is that I love a lot of milk in my coffee. We had a Jura before, but I hardly used to milk equipment because it wasn’t easy to clean. I never felt that it was cleaned properly- with the Philips that’s not an issue.

I got one of these this week. Definitely lived up to the hype. My only issue with it is the water tank gets your through about three large coffees. I may look into hacking a water line into the tank.

They recommend Medium or Light roast, No oily beans. Buy freshly roasted beans from a coffee merchant. Use ReverseOsmosis or filtered jug water only in machine.

Great review as always! I use my used coffee grounds in some of our flower beds as they give off nitrogen as they decompose. Boosts the bloom and stops cats using the planters as a toilet! X

The device is set to factory settings. For cappuccino, there is a program to prepare a personal taste, where you can install two different programs for two people, because some drink cappuccino with more milk, and someone else with less. When you set the proportions of milk and coffee quantities and the device remembers them, you will get the desired cappuccino every time.

Grass Fed,Organic full cream milk raw will give you foam and free probiotic,enzyme,vitamins (Pasteurised milk is dead lifeless and can cause lactose intolerance...when sour can give you cramps) Raw milk when sour does not give you cramps or diaroeh at all....interesting hey.

wish there was a machine that lets you pour an entire gallon of your milk//cream, whatever, in to the machine. then you don't have to keep adding it each day and its efficient. Obviously, there would need to be a cooling feature to keep the milk cold but if there was a permanent solution to long term storage of the milk, I'd be all in. I like the automatic press button and instant espresse/late drink, but its missing that crucial element. also, be nice if you could hardwire a waterline into the machine and make it fully self-sufficient

The bottom of range 1200 series is it the same brew drum...? they all seem the same? higher models just have a milkjug frother and some extra buttons. I prefer the steam wand to reheat the coffe or milk .

Thanks for the video, I have juste acquired a 3200 series in France and my lungo coffee is light dark like caramel. The taste is bitter I tried 2 different beans (Italian and Guatemala). My grinder setup is 3. Do you know if this could be a machine issue or strictly coffee choice ? Thanks.

Add Raw Honey, and or a pinch of himalayan salt. Also try some Raw milk,Organic, use ReverseOsmosis water or good filtered water only ...no municipal water at all.

It doesn't make proper cappuccino. When you are making cappuccino: coffee should come out first and milk after. Also, you can not adjust the amount of foam. It doesn't have pre-infusion/aroma adjustment. Don't think it worth $1,000 in my opinion. I have Saeco Incanto its pretty much same machine, just redesigned. Add a little more and get Miele or Jura, makes way better quality coffee.

Hi, I purchased Philips 3200 Lattego few days ago. I have set the temperature to maximum however milk coffee (latte ,cappuccino) are not coming hot.They are luke warm. Is this how it is in this coffee machine? Or I got a defective one?

Thanks for this very helpful video! Have had this machine for about a month and so far, so good. Two questions: My previous DeLonghi had issues grinding French Roast due to oily beans. How does this grinder handle espresso beans since those are also dark roast? Also, this shuts down much faster than my DeLonghi so have to keep turning it on if I want to make drinks throughout the morning.

I no longer have this machine as it was only on loan to me during my review. Perhaps someone else here knows the answer… As far as I remember, there might have been a setting that allows you to adjust the auto shut off time.

Thanks for the video! Please advise what is the best combination of settings in order to produce the best espresso. On our machine the grinder is on 4 (from 12), Aroma strength is on 3 (max), Drink quantity is on 1 (min), but still espresso is not as good as expected.

Medium to dark roast beans, fresh roasted or medium fresh roast beans, use a finer ground as possible. Max the beans dose to 3rd tier , lower the water amount. Once done add hot eater for an americano or Lungo. Use Filtered,ReverseOsmosis,water not tap municipal water.

Good question. I used pretty oily beans and it seemed fine but my testing period was short. You might just need to clean the brew group more often.

Thanks for this review. I'm considering this machine to replace my Lavazza Deso pod machine. It's fine, but the milky coffees aren't that hot and need to be drunk quite quickly before thay go cold. What's the temp of the Phillips like? Also tempted by the 4300, but think that might just be the 'boys toys' syndrome and seeing thing on it I might not actually need. :)

a year late lol, but as far as I know only the higher range models of this machine have a milk froth option seperately. however on this machine as a workaround you can select macchiato with preground coffee, so no beans get grinded. then cancel it after the milk froth was dispensed

I have seen people who will actually open up the panels and install thin foam board insulation to help. With that said, that’s not really recommended by the manufacturer. I didn’t find this machine overly loud, at least not loud enough to wake up someone in the next apartment. You could also look at a manual option like the handpresso or nanopresso.

You can go in either direction, the key is that you can only turn the know while it is making an espresso and actually grinding......also you can only change it up to 2 settings at a time, so if you wanted to go all the way down to 1, you probably have to make 2 espressos and adjust it 2 clicks each time as that is the max. Not sure I would classify this machine as "affordable". To most a machine such as this, coming in @ $1k on their website and $800 at most retailers mid-way through 2023, is out of reach. Now is it more affordable than others...well ya, but there will always be machines that are more expensive, and I've seen machines at a much lower cost than this one.

@@hha9232 A "perfect espresso" using any super-automatic machine is an elusive dream. Some of the commercial ones like Franke do a better espresso but do not reach the level of a manual or semi-auto shot.

Actually is far Better then Starbucks coffee or the other expensive one I have at my other home Mielle for $4.5k US Dollars.. if I would have discovered tHe Philip's first it would have been the winner!! it basicly has the same system and even better for the money, the slight difference is a separate frother (which I never use anyway) and a bigger water tank. that's it but the price tag 3.5 times more!
