"Daydreaming" holds a special place in my heart...the MV came out 3 days after I lost my partner to cancer...It will forever be my BAND-MAID No.1.

I am not surprised by your reaction. I'm looking around the world for BAND-MAID's reactions. Their songs reach deep into people's souls. Of course I cry too.

I have always loved both of these songs. I can’t pick which one I like more. And the girls slayed Aftershock. I’ve seen footage of their performance and they had a big crowd and they were in it. I’m so glad that they are getting a good reception and gaining new fans with this tour.

Daydreaming is a perfect jewel of a song but About Us wins for me on an emotional level. When it was released, I'd been seperated by covid from seeing friends and family for nearly a year and had had 4 friends die, from various causes, and been unable to attend any of their funerals. About Us hit me hard but it also released a lot of pent-up hurt. I cried while I listened to and watched the video but I felt a great release by the end. Miku's lyrics are always deep and thoughtful but her words of how we'd all felt at being so cut off had never rang truer. Her message of hope and love at the end was what moved me most. Then I saw and read the speech that Saiki gave before they performed it and that just intensified my feelings. I rarely watch the video or play the song now, though life is a lot freer and happier and full of friends again, as it always makes me cry.

There is a majesty and beauty to all Band-Maid songs and here it is on full display. Two of the most emotional songs ever written. I write this response with tears in my eyes.

"About Us", in the vein of other great mid-tempo Band-Maid songs like Daydreaming, Anemone, Endless Story, PAGE, Wonderland, Awkward, Start Over, Mirage, At the Drop of a Hat and Smile, is an amazing song and personal message to their fans - a direction I'm glad to see them add to their journey toward world domination. And we get to hear MISA play the vibe she so enjoys. Their beautiful DVD/BD/CD set with 100 page picture book of this incredible concert is unbelievable! "Daydreaming," "YOLO," "Puzzle,” and a host of others are world-class masterpieces. Although I love Daydreaming just the way it is and believe it may be Band-Maid's best composed and overall accessible song, I've always wonder if it was sung in English, how deep in the international market Daydreaming would have traveled...? Oh well, I'll stop daydreaming now. Thx FilAm, for another great Band-Maid reaction!

You don't have to replace your favorite song with another favorite song. Just add it to your favorite song list. My top five favorite Band-Maid song list contains 20+ songs, and that is pretty normal for Maidiacs😉

On a couple of live videos at small clubs, Kanami has said Daydreaming is her favorite song. At least back in 2018-19...who knows now

I have to say IMO, that I don't mind your reviewing a song instead of reacting to it, especially when it comes to Band-Maid. The majority of us here are maidiacs,, and we've heard these songs a thousand times. Sometimes, just sitting and listening together and getting your feedback is awesome. There are many reactors who claim to not listen to songs in their off time. I love the fact that you said, I love this band and I wanna hear more even outside of just reacting. Sometimes it just gets you and you can't stop. For mid-tempo songs, check out Anemone. It quickly became one of my favs along with Wonderland. But Daydreaming is a ballad masterpiece and About Us is just raw emotion every time I hear it. And always remember, your favorite B-M song is the last one you listened to. Today it was "Endless Story" for me. (I listened to Conqueror twice today.) But the day isn't over yet. I'm about to watch the Zepp concert again. LOL ぽ

Miku always get credit from fans and great reactors, we don't miss what she does. She's incredible, both as singer and terrific rhythm guitarist, and let's not forget...she's the spokeswoman of the band!

It's not surprising for Kanami to write beautiful ballads...when Miku found her on the internet Kanami said she was in an acoustic band which she sometimes still get together with as ongoing good friends. What 'IS' surprising is that Kanami (wait for it...)never played Rock before untill she saw Miku's vision and joined Band Maid! She's within her orchestrating movement so to speak like a modern day Bach is how I see her! Lovely, gifted and powerful at anytime at the right time of a song. Low key, Hard, Heavy, Ballistic, and modern, from a fairy tale group of electric mistresses...If Aftershock took place in Mexico, that's where it all began for Band Maid years ago...they have a big following fanfare there who already were waiting for Band Maid to return! Heard tell they stole the show even with a few ear monitor glitches...

Like you, these two songs always give me goosebumps. And I was struck by the potential of their talent. Ballads like this mix the spices of Japanese music, my country of birth, and Western music. The vocal melody line expresses a unique Japanese atmosphere. Thank you for going beyond that limit and loving this music. As you know, BAND-MAID is real. I believe they will conquer the world. 😁

BAND-MAID's complex and heavy songs are good, but this kind of moist song is also good. BAND-MAID always do BAND-MAID.

Saiki has a depth of experience in performing. She began singing in 2008 and went on to sing and dance in backing groups before performing on stage in theatre- all at such a young age. She was on stage in theatre three days before her first show with Band-Maid in Aug 2013. There are are few people now that would like Kanami to write some more ballads as a change to current heavier songs. The best Santana solo that he never played. In 2019 Kanami said that this was her favourite song. Great reaction. I fealt it. If this was sung in English, the band but especially Saiki would be internationaly famous.

It should be sung with Miku's lyric. Even though their understanding of English is much better now, they can't feel in English. Saiki understands the lyrics first to tell the stories.

Yeah the minute I heard About Us I immediately pulled up my VPN shot over to Japan and downloaded the song from a Band-Maid approved website. There's something about it that really grabs you deep down.
