The fact that you consulted a physical therapist about the medical feasibility of the unit is absolutely fantastic! And it was hilarious to watch. 😂

So cool, I once had dental treatment with just a TENS unit for pain relief, it worked great. It turned out that my dentist had it on trial and I was the first person they'd used it on. They didn't keep it after their trial unfortunately

Thanks for the review and for the tidbit about what a physical therapist thinks about the unit. Josh, at 10 did it feel like cramp or what?

I _had_ to include what a professional said! I remember Josh saying it felt like a severe cramp from which there was no return.

hmmm... this is a muscle pain relief product. What was the point of having it be reviewed by someone who doesn't have any muscle pains?

Yes. If they lose adhesion, I run them carefully under a small stream of water, careful not to soak them. Make sure they are completely dry before you use them again. They are affordable on Amazon.

I can top that. :-) Next month I will be having a spinal cord stimulator implanted in my back. It's similar to the tens but there are leads with 8 contacts each that are placed inside the spinal column and connected to a power module that is under the skin in my back. When it's on, it actually stimulates the nerves at the spinal cord to give you that tingling feeling in your arms or legs or whatever part of the body the pain is in. I had a temporary trial unit where just the leads were inserted through the skin and the power module was external and the feeling is quite bizarre. If I turned it up too high, I lost control of my legs. I'm sure it could be a lot of fun at parties if somebody gets their hands on the remote control. :-)

i'm looking for a powerful TENS unit and while it was great watching you guys try it out, i'd be more convinced if you tried it out on a woman who has birthed multiple children. no offense, it's just that guys are total wusses. but thanks for the laugh!

I think the 3D printing community needs more views. Contact some silly KZbin comedians and popular project guys to show off your knowledge. Don't contact the King of Random, or I'll never watch again. He got into trouble for explosives, and he teaches kids about it. Anyway, collaborating brings the audience into your videos, perhaps getting you more money and views. PLEASE CONSIDER

As a stroke survivor and user of electrical stimulation for muscle rehabilitation I can say TENS machines are a waste of money and why they are cheap. Plus they are not used properly, you dont "just stick on the pads and turn on the device and get weight loss or big muscles". Pad placement requires strong knowledge of muscles, where they are and how they are used by the body. Even with qualified medical knowledge of anatomy its still a case of experimenting to find precisely (very very very precisely) the correct spot to put the pads. And placement can change from day to day too. For physical rehabilitation and proper muscle stimulation you need a Functional Eletrical Stimulation device; FES not TENS, they are very different devices though essentially the same, a box with electrodes and pad, but FES has the control at a technical level to produce medical gains when used in consultation with a physio. Both devices can cause physical damage if you just go buy one and experiment possibly requiring hospitalisation. Not a toy so show some respect folks these are not toys and not too far removed from illegal torture devices so use responsibly under proper direction.

Steve Bolton Well jeez dude relax. Torture device? Seriously? These guys are just reviewing the product, not trying to act as if they are in the medical field themselves. And as far as what you state about needing to have this vast knowledge about the anatomy or the muscle system in general, in my opinion your wrong. Many layman (countless actually) have had varying levels of success using this and device like this for pain management and muscle recovery. So no you don’t need a Doctorate in physical therapy to find relief using one of these units. Myself and my family can attest to this,as can countless others that have positively reviewed this product and others like it on Amazon,Google or really any of the big name companies. Actually a lot of the tens units are rated at 4.5 stars or above. I’m thinking that is proof that a person with little knowledge of the human body can safely use this for relief. Again this is just my experience and opinion. You were saying?

I'm in PT school and we just finished studying electrical stimulation. I bought a TENS/NMES unit the same day we tested one in class and it is performing miracles on muscles issues that my own PT as well as the director of our program could not figure out. It is not very complicated, a little searching will tell you the right placement areas. It is not dangerous at all. I wish I would have known about this earlier. I'm an athlete who is always in physio care for injuries and pain. Don't think I'll need my PT nearly as often.
