Another great radio from Roberts in a sleek 1970s design. It has bluetooth streaming and allows DAB+, FM reception and there is an AUX-Input. It is portable with four "C" size batteries and has a nice weight of around 800 gramms.

Very disappointed in this radio. True, it's light weight and works on batteries, but it's a pain to live with. Why? Firstly, the preset setting up function is haphazard. I'm fairly tech savvy but even following the instructions closley, line by line, it's hit-and-miss to be able to set up a present. Secondly, despite my using this radio just for DAB, often when I switch it on in the morning to catch the news it jumps to FM. No problem you say? Yes, but to switch to DAB you have to cycle through the menu and also 'double-click' the switch multiple times. That is, FM, click click, AUX, click click, BT, click click, DAB. Anyone know a sure way to set the presets, please let me know!

I'm getting an impression after reading a few different comments from people with experience of using Roberts products, that Roberts quality isn't quite what it used to be.

I agree with the bad reviews below; flimsy and the sound is rather poor with low volume and the buttons and dials are very iffy - as is the bluetooth feature - it was meant to be an upgrade from a cheaper DAB and I have gone back to it since this is bad quality.

It chews through batteries, I tried rechargeable batteries but it goes through those as well, I take one battery out when it's not in use and that seems to help stop the drain, DAB is a huge disappointment in this respect, unlike a trad transistor radio, it even says in the handbook to use batteries occasionally, so in essence this is a radio for the kitchen and via a mains lead. I still haven't found out what the port is for just inside the battery lid? No mention in the handbook at all!

I have one of these, but i find that the batteries discharch quite quickly when the radio is switched off and the display is off. Have you experienced this ? Thank you (:

Mind that the Geneva radio mentioned costs twice as much.

The manual says up to 80 hours depending on volume and general settings (normal or eco), that can be true but I have not stoped the time yet ;)
