Subsequently to uploading this video I figured out what the button beside the touch controller is used for. If you hold the button while using the touch controller, the touch slider behaves as a 'pitch bend' whereas without the button it works as modulation. I also saw somewhere that the d-pad is used to split the keyboard, will mess around with that some more.

Maybe the slide pad needs to be reverse wired so the pitch change works like a real guitar, and maybe that switch could also be reversed so pitch change is default instead of modulation. I might open mine up...

@orangespiff No I'm not self-taught, he he I have no idea why did the 'lazy pinky' thing :-) My roots are also as a pianist (started with classical training) but then digressed to synths/keyboards after a couple of years.

That app is called 'MIDI Monitor' by Snoize. Works very well to see what is going on.

Is there a way of changing the touch strip and reversing it so the pitch goes up when sliding to the right instead of the pitch going down?

Hi, Which software would you recommend if you just want to play "live" using only the RB3 controller and a PC? I bought a USB to MIDI cable and really want to try and get something up and running. Thanks!

awesome! i got a full size keyboard a couple years back, the keys are kind of difficult to press, and the sound options kinda suck. i did see MIDI input, so i could probably connect my controller to that (it's a Wii RB3 controller, not sure if it will do the same thing) what i 'm trying to do is get an MIDI to USB cable, then connect it to my Linux system and play it off that. would you have any idea of a good program?

@@franciscoramones929 I don't believe you can. I don't own one, but from what it looks like you can only transmit on MIDI channel 1.
