There's a movie nobody saw that happened all in the screen of a laptop called "Open Windows" that predates that Unfriended movie or whatever it was called (I'm pretty sure it was the first movie ever that did that). It stars Elijah Wood and Sasha Grey and it was directed by Nacho Vigalondo (the guy who did Colossal last year). It's pretty good in case anybody wants to check it out.

Sure it's a "gimmick" in the same vein as Tom Hardy in "Locke" was a gimmick but you guys gave him the benefit of the doubt and were blown away by that film. It's entirely up to the talent, depth and range even physicality of the actor.
@KainErrow6 жыл бұрын
It sounds like they gave John Cho more than just the benefit of the doubt and were really impressed by him as a very talented actor. Personally don't care myself for these kind of movies (just not what I want / need from a flick, maybe) but I can certainly respect the craft and the creativeness that goes into it. Autocorrect turning Cho into "Cup," goddam you android. :P

moviedude22 their review is positive. 7.5 is nothing to sneeze at and they rightly praise John Cho's performance

Fun movie. The premise is new and inventive. But I agree the ending was weak. Cho give an amazing performance as a leading character. You are never bored but just didn’t buy the ending. A bit too wrapped up in a nice bow like a CSI episode but unrealistic.

Kinda curious how much of a comparison this might draw from audiences with the Molly Tibbet case (sympathies to the family there). I know people go missing all the time and it turns into a murder or kidnapping case (kidnapping / other creepy shit) but that story is the one most on my mind now.
