ok but why is nobody talking about how genuinely bad this movie is, like the cgi is horrible, the acting, pacing, storyline, excessive sex mentions and istg anything a movie is supposed to do?? like this isnt disney. idk i watched this at a sleepover and we all hated it, and idk how nobody else is like seeing that.

Watched this yesterday for the first time. Movie was quite interesting, and obviously had a lot of shrouded symbolism and depth to it. However it seemed both convoluted and as if 2 simple plot points were stretched to the length of a whole movie simultaneously. It was hard for the average person to follow if they weren't interested. I spent most of the movie trying to make sense of what was happening or why it was significant. A huge issue I had was that the writers could not stick to one tone for the movie. It was supposed to be emotional, deep, and tragic, but they throw excessive sexual humor and crude jokes in a highly comedic fashion that seem to take away from the scenes that they are in, many times over. Ironically though, the crude jokes in the context of portraying the characters in a flashback scene made for some of the most accurate portrayal of teenagers being teenagers I've seen in a while. [The following contains plot spoilers]: Where I had the biggest problem is that they tried to make us empathize the main character Ig Perrish, and at the end of the movie his death seemed entirely anti-climactic. I ended up feeling more emotion and empathy for the brother who was framed and consequently punished by Ig, than for Ig himself despite all the tragedy he experienced. I love lore, deep symbolism and themes- however even a day later I'm wondering what the intention of these plot devices were. I don't think this is a bad movie, but I don't believe it was exceptional in any way either. They somehow made a simple plot really confusing and the symbolism they use doesn't seem to fit the characters or narrative. This much depth in a story is obviously well thought out, but it feels like the writers had too much faith in the audience becoming intrigued by the characters enough to want to read between the lines and find out every facet of the story. I may have been this interested, had they kept their tone serious and consistent and used the crude and dark humor more sparingly.

It did have a dark ending. The only change I detected at the end was that she appreciated Dolce more (wrongly captioned as Dulce). She was an alcoholic and depressed. And she wasn't a girl's girl, like Beth. Beth had friends. Mavis couldn't even connect with Sandra, who practically worshipped her. I disagree that her behavior didn't have consequences. The consequences were pretty evident when she had that meltdown.

Wow look at that. She knows that Mel is a human being capable of happiness and sadness & that he may upset people here and there. You know, like every one on earth. But he doesn't need to be eternally punished any more than eternally rewarded. Get over it people. Get over it.

I loved the episode but I wanted to comment about the art in the guy's House. BEAUTIFUL paintings that look like they're views of different rooms in his house, well painted in interesting styles. I'd love to know who painted them. I've googled the crap out of this but can't find anything. If anyone knows, please share!

Spoiler Man vs God? Wolves being God's avenging angel soldiers? or just "death" whats the difference really if its WAY WAY bigger than puny US? God/fate Giving many of ema final chance to discuss faith/no faith and then one by one taking each one out personally? Maybe a worthy "test" none save MAYBE one passes? idk lol ....or the point being do em all! "the just and the unjust kind a thing" but saving the hardest pissed at God case tired of living/desperate to live case for last which I mean who knows tif the he wolves back down and the gps beakon FINALLY brings a copter to save him in the nick of time? Or he just goes out bad assed FIGHTING which maybe is the point? What we ALL should aspire not to neccessarily live incredibly long life but just to know Life is always worth taking a stand against death?

What liams character refuses to do? To just confess his fallible state and lack of ability to KNOW good and evil and simply give the honest heartfeld "nevertheless Lord NOT my will but THINE be done" IOW a broken and contrite heart? "have mercy on me a sinner" instead of trying to take on the righteusness of God ...as IF any are worthy do THAT.... Brings to mind the one good thing about having been such care less sinner for so many years ....I KNOW I "deserve" whatever evil God brings down on my head so I cant really ever do the "furious with God" bit "hating God because I dont deserve all this" when the opposite is true if anything that I dont deserve how fricken GOOD I have had it! Compared to so many apparently much much better human beings that suffered so greatly where I did not....Both His sun and the rain falls on both the just and the unjust so we ought to get over any self righteousness asap if we are remotely trying to be honest ...."ALL have sinned ALL fall short the glory of God" ??

Nothing but women menstruating! This is one of the crappiest movies ever made. If you like this you must love hearing chicks argue all the time. Just a bunch of bitching. You want a cave movie? Watch the cave. Not the best but beats hour and a half of chicks bitching!

I knew right about that Jaeden was older than 11 years old because his voice sounded too mature and he looked like a 14 year old. Maddie Ziegler looked way too old to be an elementary school girl. Turns out I was right. Both actors were 14 years old. They should have chosen younger actors to play elementary school kids or had those actors play older characters to make it believable.

It's not really a love story, It's a story about survival and an extraterrestrial learning to adapt to a strange new world. It's also about Tolerance Compassion Learning to value and respect yourself Empathy Connection with something greater than yourself Wanda ( the alien) becomes its best when most human acting. It's also about not giving up Finding strength to go on

Stupid slant eyed Chinkie kid should shut his naive mouth. Humans are selfish and that is our strength. It is the strong entrepreneurs like Elon Musk who hate interfering jealous resentful and stupid bureaucrats and governments and trade unions, that get things done and create more things. You cannot get anywhere when lesser minds try to chain down and control creative geniuses. Private ownership and being in control of your own creations, motivates people and that gets things built and done and creates jobs and greater welfare and wealth for everyone. The soft in the head do - gooders, pacifists, weaklings and collectivists get nothing done and cause destruction and loss for everyone.

For the record the movie The Layover is a pretty funny movie due to the whole love triangle thing. Meg flipping off the young boy was rude and unpleasant and more importantly somebody will have to teach Meg a lesson in pain and behavior or Kate can do it if there were to be a sequel called The Layover 2 one day in the future. Also to add to this I'm gonna punish that rude and unpleasant bitch Meg or even inflict punishment upon her. Meg better learn to respect her kid and her elders or else punishment will be inflicted upon her. For me I like and appreciate kids and kids who are full of greatness.
