Ben should be commended for the great work he did absolutely was the right thing to do , I bet the Wood family thanks him for not allowing any more damaging punishment live to fight another day. Davison did the right thing.

@@jbd5870 a bit of a gamble don’t you think? The way Lara dropped him was wayyy different to Conlan and it was in the latter stages of the fight! Ben made the right decision plus there’s a rematch clause.

They both threw left hooks simultaneously. But Lara's was way more athletic: He turned his waist, bent his knees, and had an upward arc to it to maximize the torque. It was like hitting a 300-yard drive in golf. And Leigh's momentum and head were going towards the punch which maximized the impact. It was really a thing of beauty.

Here's the thing, look at their faces. Lara looked like he hadn't been touch while Wood looked like he was in a 12 round war. I think Lara gets him again, he was losing little battles but the war was never really in question.

Great show, as always with these three. At the time I wondered why Davison at thrown the towel in [easy for me to do, watching literally from the other side of the world on Sunday morning]. After watching the replay it was plain he'd made the right call. Anyone watching boxing just for brutal KOs - you know, stretcher jobs - should find something else to watch.

Yes I believe Ben Davidson, was right, in his call, wood can come again, most important he went home, safe and healthy to his family, which is the most important thing.
@angusking9881 Жыл бұрын
Wood, Kongo, Taylor recent fights.. Davison has them all throwing slow, pawing jabs and all of them have suffered as a result as the shorter guys time them as that left hand and shoulder drops. You could see Lara and Catterall waiting for it. Left hand and shoulder comes down and suddenly they’re open to a hook. Fine if you’re Deontay Wilder and have a cannonball behind the pawing jab.

HERE IS THE DEAL...LEIGH WOOD WENT TO SLEEP BECAUSE HE WENT TO SLEEP. LARA PLAYED HIM PERFECTLY. HE SET HIM UP. WENT DEAD FOR 3 ROUNDS LET WOOD THINK HE WAS WINNING. WOOD WAS HITTING LARA AND SMILING TO HIS CORNER. HE WAS DEFEATED BY HIS OWN INSECURITY AND FEAR. his ARROGANCE COVERS THAT UP. AND HE GOT SMACKED FOR IT. LIGHTS OUT. Lara is a humble man. a brilliant strategist. this is entirely overlooked. plus he has the BALLS to spit at WARRING TON. bravo!

Ref turned into a geriatric patient all off a sudden counting very slowly. How many times do you grab Wood's wrist and then grab his gloves let them go and then grab them again and let them go, buying time LOL When he can no longer baby Wood in comes the towel. Father time is sniffing around so if a rematch is going to happen it needs to happen asap because Venado Lopez wants Lara.
