Review: Simonis X1 Pool Table Cleaner

This is my go to product for cleaning pool tables. Unlike a brush that just blows chalk dust around, this product traps the chalk dust in its pad with static electricity. And what's even better, no loud vacuum cleaner voice. Plus people have said that shop vacs or vacuum cleaners tend to pull on the cloth and in turn stretches the cloth over time. Sweet! I suppose I can just spray directly to my cloth then wipe the felt. Great video tip...now I just gotta find a video that will show be the best way to clean my balls ... 🎱🎱🎱🎱

Have you noticed if the Windex makes the table for more slick? I know with new cloth you have to adjust bank shots a bit because it's more slick when it's new.

No, I haven't noticed that at all. In fact, probably the opposite. And agreed with new cloth, it's an adjustment with banks and draws.

Hey James, it's been a year now since you starting using both the X-1 and the Windex wipe-down. Can we get an updated opinion on how it's going with both after you've really had time to evaluate? Thanks.

Hey Baron, I still use the same process for my tables. I will admit that I will pull the shop vac out occasionally, but not because the X-1 doesn't work. Mainly if I want to hit all the tables quickly.

It was used. But literally like brand new still. But the cloth is done. So they are coming next Tuesday to put new cloth. So I just want to keep it nice. I'll definitely use your methods. Thank you.

Maybe dust particles, but for dirt, then maybe use a vacuum.

Just use a clean damp lint free cloth. Use this regularly to keep chalk marks off. No need to spend money.

Is this only to be used for simonis cloth or can I use it on different cloth?

Hi, it can be used for any cloth. It just happens that Simonis made the table cleaner. I haven't used it on a thicker cloth but something of the consistency of 860, it works great.

Hi, I haven't yet. And not sure if it's possible. But using the vacuum on it makes it clean like it is new again.

You should wipe or brush to nap!! (Thats one way to those who are not in the know)
