Hi! It's the Prismacolor White coloring pencil. You can buy the individual coloring pencil at an art store. I've even seen them at big Joann stores.

I know this tip is late. If you heat up the vinyl with a hair dryer just for a few seconds, the vinyl will be so much easier to turn out and will be less wrinkled. Good video.

My question is do you need a heavy duty sewing machine to see through the vinyl. Like can I line the vinyl with thin fabric and see it with a regular sewing machine.

Hi Jessica, yes, I think you can use a regular sewing machine with this method. The key here is that you choose a vinyl between 10 -12 gauge thick. Anything thicker than that may not work. Also, you can use a walking foot and that will help feed the fabric under the plate and make it easier for your machine to sew vinyl. Hope that helps! 😊

Just a tip because the binding looks terrible. Use a clear thread if black thread bothers you. The original pattern is excellent on sew sew easy and I have been using it for years.
