Stormsure will fade and blend in rather nicely. It's brilliant stuff and lasts years. Very waterproof too. We use it on Miata roofs.

Add tape on the side you want to show case and apply the stormsure from within (on the other side of the tear). This way you can avoid that build up on the outside of the soft top.

could you use it on the inside instead? tape the outside, apply inside then let it dry out. looking to purchase this on two small tiny tears

They do one in black rather than clear - I think that would look better. Smudging with your finger rather than the cotton bud - did this work / look better?

Hey Anthony, rubbing with finger was a lot better, it is still holding up and I am happy with it. The best thing I have found so far.

What do you think of e6000 vs stormsure? Have you needed to add more stormsure to the roof?

I have a white top I want to place a 2 in X 2 foot strip on the outside of the top. Will this glue work? Also need to find where I can get some vinyl or something like it to make the patch from.

you might want to put some tape over the rips and apply the stormsure adhesive to the inside of your top

What armoire product did you use afterwards?

I'm not sure of the name, it was a product from Walmart, and it said on there for convertible tops. It was inexpensive. It was one they sold within the store

John how is the repair holding up after about a year?

Good question, still holding up there's a couple spots I had to redo about a month ago but from everything I've tried it's has lasted the longest. They give you three tubes so looks like you'll have to do a touch up once a year.

Thanks for the review. Wanted to mention my experience with using Armour All regularly on a convertible top. It was a standard vinyl top and after 10 years the vinyl still looked brand new. Unfortunately the entire top started to come apart at the seams. I don't know if it's true but someone told me that the Armour All that kept the vinyl looking new was exactly what disintegrated the threading in the seams. Ever since then I've never used anything on my convertible top except mild car wash soap. This isn't a dig at Armour All, if there is truth to the claim that it compromises the seams, it's probably true of any product of this type.

Bruh, your suppose to tape the top and apply underneath. You can even use a leather pattern to match the top. This isn’t for amateurs though.

Never use armor all

Don't use armora on a convertible top ever. You will destroy it. Use a convertible restoration kit. They are made for a convertible.

Repair the top from the inside then you'll see nothing of the repair.

Yeah that's a great idea, you could put tape on the outside of the hole and then seal it from the inside and then once it seals you can pull off the tape the only problem is with these convertible tops it's double sided material so you can't get to the hole from inside
