Review: The One Ring RPG (core book and starter set)

Maybe this is a stupid question, but does the core book have all of the rules? I'm getting it for my birthday in a few months, and want to know if I also need the starter set. (I may get it either way)

I believe the starter set gives you a few additional things, but not the core rules just enough to get you playing the game with a campaign. Kinda like how DND has a short condensed rule book for the players perspective, not the GM. Hope that helps, I honestly would like to order both the starter set and rule book. It's basically a cheaper way to get people into the RPG before buying everything (future expansions etc.)

The core book has all the rules. The starter box is just a quick play version but is much more affordable if you're unsure about getting the core book. The GM screen comes with some extra stuff like rules for playing Rivendell elves, but the core book has elf player options. Of note, you dont really need the special dice, as normal d12s and d6scwork fine. The starter box comes with a set however.
