Hi Drew, just wanted to say good job on another review of a channel. I personally like Mo;s channel and reviews. i feel like i can relate to him in a way. i also think his involvement in the community in genuinely positive. The same goes for any lives ive seen or participated in. I personally wont ever do reviews because i cant stand wanting to learn about camera settings and video editing, so anyone doing reviews has my respect no atter what they review. Mo/s a cool dude, and i hope he uses the constructive criticism to make his channel the best it can be. Great job on these vids trying to help make their channels better

I agree. He sticks way too much to the mainstream companies. I enjoy the smaller reviewers that seem like they don't have as much to gain, so they seem to give more honest reviews. I'm not saying he's not honest at all but it seems like the mainstream guys push beard companies that are overrated because they have collabs and are affiliates with them. You rarely ever see the mainstream guys promote smaller companies.

Thanks for the advice and kind words Drew. I did take a step back from reviewing different companies and do not charge companies for reviews anymore if a company decides to donate $10-$20 it’s very appreciated but I don’t have a price I charge companies. 2) I took a step back to do a snack review channel but I didn’t enjoy that since I struggle with maintaining weight and losing weight I didn’t think it was a good idea to do snack reviews. 3) I have a few affiliates (I think 5 that If they release new scents I like to make videos for them. I’ve had multiple companies reach out for reviews that I haven’t used before and I’ve turned them down because at this point 4 years doing beard product reviews I’ve found the companies that work well for me and my beard I don’t feel the need to review more companies. Beard Octane is my main priority as I work for the company as I’ve advertised multiple times. Again thanks for the review, kind words and advice!

You're a good dude Mo, do what you like, do what makes you happy. You're entertaining, you have some comical relief to you and people are able to relate to you, that's why you have as many subs as you do, hope to see more content from you and hope you don't let the critism you're receiving get the best of you.

This video is genuinely to share constructive criticism with other channels and hopes that it will make the channels better especially any channels that are struggling at the moment and that's pretty much all of us. I've only watched a few of Mo's videos, and I thought they were informative and honest. I agree, all reviewers should have their own style and do their own thing. Also, space out reviews of the same companies, I personally don't watch reviews that are of the same company and just another scent. Prefer new lines or maybe change of blend, etc. I also like Mo's "Shark Approved" slogan.

Moes cool not one I watch alot for various reasons but no issues with him. See him review Mostly affiliated companies as u mentioned beard Octane an fable. Which I believe are sub par products but to each there own. Good review of the reviewer bro 😂

Oh yeah for sure man I'm in a tiny little bathroom with the door closed so my kids not heard in the background constantly, I'm using a 2-year-old phone, and my review suck. Because I don't do editing I don't do special lights in the background and all the other smoking mirrors that most people like to see in a nice clean edited video. I'm just a small channel who likes to put out honest and factual reviews. You're always welcome to say whatever it is that's on your mind on my channel brother I appreciate the support

I feel like all the main people are just recycling material that they did a year or two years ago. All the same shit now. I guess only so much beard stuff you can really talk about. I’d really just like to see new reviews of smaller companies that can’t afford to pay these reviewers and hand out free crap. Yeah I 1000% agree with you I like seeing a lot of the more less known companies because there are a lot of them that produce really really good products compared to a lot more of the bigger names that are trying to maximize profit in any way possible so they can continue to pay for reviews and advertisement and all that stuff.

Yes I actually watched quite a few of the last videos he's been making and it does seem very repetitive or on topic that have been covered multiple times by every reviewer out there including himself. I'm hoping he will read through all these comments and take some of this constructive criticism and turn this channel around and maybe be a little bit more successful if that's what he wants to do

My opinion hasn't changed so I'm gonna repost my comment from your announcement: Honest opinion... lemon shark. His humor is cringe and his channel is mainly filled with only typical brand companies you see most other bigger reviewers review. A lot of "new" scent videos shows a lack of variety and a lack of creativity. He released a video about chicago combs and the difference between beard butter and balm... 2 things which most of the community knows everything about and most reviewers have already touched upon. Which to me showcases he's out of ideas. Dan C just posted a video about the difference between beard butter and balm like wtf we don't need that video. At this point its been done to death. One word STAGNANT. All of these bigger channels started the race in frontrunner positions... now they're stopping every 5 feet for water wondering how they're gonna take another step. They're gassed out and quivering in a corner. The bearded sharks channel in my final opinion is drowning. It has been non relevant for awhile and he's struggling to stay afloat. When I first started watching youtube beard content creators I would check out Mos videos, but not anymore. Just like beard products - I've found the the channels that I like. Mo is not one of those channels. A piece of advise I would give him - review different companies that aren't the same 5. With him working for beard octane now though I don't see that happening. I'll be honest at this point it's hard to envision his channel growing. Best of luck though!

I definitely can agree with a lot of those points I feel like they're all too worried about copying other creators blueprints keeping up with The Jeffersons kind of thing. The whole fact that they can never actually be 100% truthful and honest because if they do then that goes against what the rest of the guys in the circle think and preach. I think that is one of the biggest parts of it because how can One reviewer in the main circle that super tight with all the other guys go against let's say beard octane for example when all the other guys say beard octane's amazing, they can't because then they would be considered toxic. Lol
