All you people complaining about the content of this review do know that The Armory Life is owned by Springfield Armory, right? They also have a hard copy magazine that they send to you quarterly. That's why this is not a critical review. It's a specification review. There are 50 other critical reviews here on KZbin. Y'all need to do your homework sometimes. By the way I just received one of these as a gift. It is far and away the best handgun I now own. So there's your critical review.

I would prefer the EMP4 Champion CCC. On the SA website they are illustrated on the EMP title page but not cataloged, maybe they will be reintroduced?

It would kill me to see this go into an evidence locker. I have the Sig Ultra carry in a commander size and I won't carry it because I'm scared I'll scratch and mar it.

I carry all my 1911s in the 1791 gun leather 3 way holster. I have 4 of them, they will fit 3" to 5". Amazon 47.00. Trust me you'll love it.

The Ronin is a more affordable version of the regular EMP (now discontinued) at $899. They achieved it by downgrading sights from tritium to fiber optic, the slide made out of carbon steel instead of stainless steel and the grips made out of no-name-wood instead of Cocobolo. More edits: the Ronin doesn't have an ambi safety, comes with 1 mag instead of 3 and the original emp came with a nice box with a OWB holster and OWB mag holder. To be honest this Ronin is way more competitive in the market. The original was too fancy to compete. I paid around $1200 for the .40 cal version. I don't think they come in .40 anymore.

The BUL Armory SAS looks pretty small to me, not sure on the specs for both handguns but look similarly very close in size. The difference mainly is price with the BUL Armory SAS being a higher end handgun.

Love mine, however hate propriety mag’s. Can’t find them anywhere. Only other criticism is no checkering on the front strap. Won’t use for a carry due to only one mag.

It's 200 cheaper than the original EMP... and doesn't come with 3 mags, a holster and a mag pouch.
