Awesome video man. Even by GGK standards, that chariot race in LoE was just next level. Funnily enough I think I described these books exactly the same way in one of my videos, the way he writes this stuff is as if he's creating his own mosaic with the story.

Top 10 Fantasy series for me, easily. Its probably Top 5 GGK for me overall, I've only got 5 of his other books left to read after I finish A Song for Arbonne: River of Stars, Fionavar Tapestry and Ysabel. Before I do my eventual re-read I think I'll read Yeats' poem Sailing to Byzantium to see how much of an influence it was. Its been many years since I've read any Yeats so I don't recall if I've ever done that one. Funnily enough I read most of Sailing to Sarantium on a ferry from Ireland to Scotland, and most of Lord of Emperors on the way back.

It's funny that you say all GGK's books start with a banger of a prologue, because for some reason he has abandoned prologues, and Sailing to Sarantium is the last prologue he wrote.
