That's a very good observation, fellas. Nowadays you can get music anywhere, I'm from a generation where you got your music from the radio, a record store or actually standing in line and buying a ticket to see a band live. I started out with Beatles 45's in the sixties and through the whole vinyl, 8-track, cassette and compact disc. I was in my twenties when MTV came on, so as a teenager I'd watch "The Midnight Special" and "Don Kirshners Rock Concert" to see my favorite bands.

This Album is a Masterpiece! Not a single bad track!
@GeniusCenaa2 ай бұрын
TBF you can say that of each and every single album of theirs, they don’t have a bad song.
@davidrees42182 ай бұрын
That is true, there is not a bad song on this album, which just happens to be their most commercial album and understandably so. What ruins the album for me is the production and mixing and all the "fuzz". It is overkill on the album and don't do it live. That's why the live versions are so much better.

I may be completely reading too much into this lyric in Six Feet Deep but the lyric "You'll pray to your god until your chewed up and spit out" reminds me of the passage in the Bible where Jesus says he wants his followers to be either hot or cold but not lukewarm, or He'll spit them out. It's probably just me but since they are Catholic it could maybe be a reference to that. I'm very interested in hearing the live debut of Apologize, it's my favorite song along with Sharks and Escapism.

Great! Todavía no había visto esto, me alegro haber esperado para compartirlo junto a ustedes. Thanks Glenn and Adrian! Qué bueno es ver a DPA hablando sobre Keep Me Fed, la temática del consumo indiscriminado, las redes sociales, el comportamiento social en general, ha estado siempre presente para The Warning.

The KMF album is a masterpiece!! A while ago I thought it would be impossible to top ERROR album. I was totally wrong! These sisters are overwhelmingly talented! Viva The Warning!! ⚡⚡⚡
@davidrees42182 ай бұрын
Personally, I rank KMF a very clear #4 in my list of The Warning albums. Nothing to do with the quality of the songs at all. I can listen to XXI CB, QOTMS and ERROR over and over, but I really have to be in the correct mood to listen to KMF. That being said I can listen to the songs LIVE over and over which obviously shows where my issue with the album is.

Imhop their new songs work perfectly well live with their legacy songs and bring some excitement to their set

Yes, albums aren’t (or haven’t been) a thing anymore money wise. Perhaps it’s starting to come back around but I can’t see it ever being what it was. The Sony Disc-man is long gone. Even the iPod & iTunes. I don’t remember who said it but it was an old-timer to young bands: “remember you’re not musicians your tee-shirt salesmen. The music is to have something to tour & the tour is so you can sell merch.” Pessimism at its best but until your a large venue/stadium act probably pretty accurate.

I would much rather have physical copies of music or movies and or video games but talking to younger people they are gravitating back to owning cd's and vinyl mostly vinyl

Yep. I know Aria from Freeze The Fall, and at 15, she's right into physical media. When I saw them in July, I knew she collected cassettes, so I made her a metal mixtape. A few weeks ago when I saw them perform live again, I gave her a mint first press vinyl copy of The Tragically Hip's EP.

I would like to hear an acoustic Apologize as well. I'm one of the few who don't gravitate towards the album version. (meaning that I typically skip it on my cd player)

KMF is kind of a S!CK title because in my mind, the touring life, as we have talked about before, can leave you feeling Six FeetDeep.....you don't have time to enjoy life, even though you are doing what you love! It's a recurring theme on this album, and not by chance......but no need to Apologize!

The more I listen to this album and then go back and listen to music from their previous albums the more I feel that Keep Me Fed may be my favorite. Maybe it's recency bias and it all feels fresh? I don't know.
@davidrees42182 ай бұрын
I'm the exact opposite. The more I listened to KMF, the more I wanted to listen to the previous 3 instead. It's been almost 2 months since I last listened to KMF and I just don't feel inclined to change that. Incidentally, in that same period I've listened to the other 3 numerous times. Of course I listen to songs from KMF, but live versions only unless it is Automatic Sun (any version of this will do).

Pau said she doesn’t like the number “8” & then I noticed it looks like there are 4 “8’s” right above them. 😳😂

Pau has stages of not liking something. I think it was the Tidal Rise documentary when she said she had been playing drums for 13 years. "Oh! I don't like that number!"

It seems I am the exception when it comes to Apologise. The slide guitar riff and Pau's screams are parts I dislike in this song. But then the World would be a boring place if we all liked the same thing. I am also that even rarer The Warning fan who doesn't automatically like everything they do and am NOT afraid to criticise them (hard as that is to do).
