This week I was invited to the gala night performance of UNBELIEVABLE, the latest live show from the mind of Mentalist Derren Brown and his collaborators.
The show is running at the Criterion Theatre in the West End and is performed by an ensemble cast of actors and musicians.

I saw this the other night - I absolutely loved it. My mind was also blown. I was lucky enough for Simon to pick me to come down onstage from the balcony and my heart was thumping so hard as I met the usher at the aisle. Having been part of a trick and the honour of stepping onto the Criterion stage my head melted because I really had no freakin idea how what happened, happened. It was fantastic, heartwarming, funny and mind blowing. I had such a fun and memorable night 😅

I was at the press night and met derren and the show was so good especially the astral part (no spoilers) I've been a fan of him since I was a toddler. Was such a nice man and honestly the cast was so good

I went to one of the last shows in Colchester knowing absolutely nothing about it and I loved it, it was brilliant. I was pulled up to the stage for one of the tricks and unfortunately was able to work out how it was done afterwards, but I can imagine for the audience it was really fun to watch. The music was amazing, the tricks were mind blowing and I’m glad I went!

Went on Thursday - I'm not a huge fan of this type of thing but the other half is. So off we went. I liked the opening dissection of the wardrobe trick. Then it went right off the rails for both of us. It doesn't bring the audience IN. Magic of this type doesn't work for me unless it is up close and personal. We left at half time and went to the pub.

Saw this on sunday. There were a couple illusions which I could easilly see how they did it, but some of the tricks blew me away. Loved the music as well :)

I went to see it the other day. I sat in "the best seat in the house". Absolutely loved the whole show! It was amazing!

I saw this at The Mercury in Colchester, was excited as a big fan of Derren Brown to see something in the earlier stages. I enjoyed it - especially the "water" section but something didn't quite hit the mark for me. Whether that was the absence of Derren, the lack of theme or missing a big wow moment at the end I'm not sure. I think they have changed things a bit since then as I don't recognise moments from some of the pictures so this is a preview review but I wouldn't have wanted to pay west end prices for the show I saw.

I love magic, and the puzzle and surprise of seeing a trick fills me with wonder. I've seen a lot of magic on stage. Part of my joy is trying to figure out how the trick was done, but I rarely do - and I am equally happy to be mystified. I saw this show and thought the tricks were great, but for me it lacked warmth, authenticity, and chemistry. It seemed so _written_ and acted. And for something so obviously scripted, you'd think they could make the characters and their predicaments more endearing. I couldn't see _why_ I was being shown these things, so I just didn't really care for it, other than my good will for it to work, as an enthusiast. Everything was slick and perfectly rehearsed. The, performers were all very good but unfortunately I just didn't 'get' the show

I would ALWAYS want to know how a trick works. It makes me appreciate it a lot more. Otherwise, it's just frustrating & annoying. Lol.

Just saw this and was underwhelmed. The whole thing lacks energy because each illusion drags out for such a long time. I had hoped there might be a troupe of magicians each with a different personality and speciality but they're all dressed identically (like staff working at a Travelodge). Having the band gave a bit of energy and theme but dragging so many audience members onto the stage wastes so much time. It got to the point where they had brought so many people on stage that they had too many and we were giving people a round of applause to people who were sent back to the audience having done nothing. This is not what I'm paying a ticket for. Everytime the house lights were raised killed a bit of the "magic" and fetching to many items from the depths of the theater was so clunky. They could have done twice the amount of illusions in half the amount of time if they sped the show up. The mind reading was clever but the overall performance was not a West End standard.

I just sore the show was very disappointed by it. Two other people who went felt the same. I wouldn't recomend it! I Love Darren Brown!
