Ure right, Australias lack of planning is the reason they found emselves in that position and took away opportunity from that set peace, mind you these r professionals. In soccer they plan for such coz if u get an injury and youve used your subs, thats a you problem
@randomlyfactual19435 ай бұрын
It is mandated by the laws of rugby that any team must field a spare front row on the bench - jersey numbers 16 (hooker), 17 and 18 (props). Australia did fulfill this requirement. What happened here was that a prop got hurt and his replacement got hurt as well. Since they were out of props = uncontested scrums. While this was not good for scrumming, this means effectively that they had a to replace a really heavy guy with a much smaller one. So if you ever coach a rugby team and the opponent has to do uncontested scrums, you make sure that there are a lot of collisions and you would maul them all day long. We saw this today, three tries from the maul - Australia simply had too little meat on the field to stop us.

Its so hard to watch these games. I lost count of how many rucks the wallabies sent in 2-3-4 cleaners against ONE Bok player. The ruck was clean and another 2-3 people just dive in for the sake of it. I think its going to take a long time for Schmidt to remove these kind of automatic responses from the players. They have been trained to ensure fast/clean ruck ball at all costs. Even to the point of going in if they are close enough regardless of what is in front of them. Its so counter productive that the ball would have been out faster on a lot of occasions, had it not been slowed down by 1-2 cleaners coming into the ruck un-necessarily. The kicking is fking woeful. ZZZZ overall good recap as always man.

As a Bok Supporter who also has a great love for good rugby I have to be honest when I say that I really do miss a strong Wallaby team. NZ plays there way & so do we the Boks and so the Roses...the French etc etc. And a Strong Wallaby Team played their Own Very Impressive technical, phased control & brilliant finishing... that's currently No where...and that is a Miss for World Rugby as a whole

South African supporter and converted to Australian citizenship. I subscribed here just. I’m on holiday from Singapore, so the channel popped up. Love it, so refreshing. . I’ll be waiting for this man to say good things again about the wallabies. They’ll come back when the Rugby Aus board gets replaced .

Thanks for the content, kak funny as ever. The Bokke were pretty methodical, their defence was great if not borderline superb but way too many handling and unforced errors. They looked better in the second half when the bench came on and dominated from then on. The Wallabies whilst not terrible were overall disappointing. Forwards were meh, their defence was lacking and I'm not convinced that crossfield kicking game did them any favours when more practice sessions on the basic skills like maul defence would have paid bigger dividends.. Are they on the road to recovery? I hope so but I'm not sure. There are a couple of good signs sunce the Eddie Jones days but watching them against the world number one side probably isnt the best time to judge them.
