Them switching belts was a call back to a segment of raw around 10 years ago where Cody was asking Rock if he could hold the wwe title. This new era is already showing how it'll keep using things from the past to build up new feuds

it really was awkward. the swapping belts made no sense then, and makes no sense 12h later. rock saying he broke his heart was awkward. it felt like they forgot something or something was missed during the promo, cause there was no pay off to anything mentioned

It's very tricky since Cody wad kinda hurt. And the Rock was as well since he said: don't you ever break the rocks ❤ AGAIN? So what did Cody do? The lighter and the fire in the bus is dark 😮 necklace and Cody the new tribal chief 😂nooo! Well exchanging the titles has two meanings. 1 the rock wants to be the champion. But giving Cody the peoples champion belt could mean that Cody is now the real peoples champ 😊. So what did he give him then? Something dusty gave the rock in the past? And why was his heart broken? It wasn't awkward at all. This is an Alpha Male move. They do it all the time in boxing and MMA. Look at what happened to Joshua vs Andy Luis. Many people told Joshua never let someone else hold your belt. And he lost it! Also it might be a temporary Vision for the future where Cody is the people's champion (hence why he held the belt) and the Rock becomes Universal Champion for a moment.
