The Wild Badger Power trimmer was a real disappointment. Here at Planet Mojo I review things as they are sent to me - I do not ask the manufacturer or dealer to fix things or replace parts. Based on what I have seen, I would absolutely not recommend the Wild Badger 52cc brush cutter. I'll be reviewing the DeWalt FlexVolt 15" trimmer next. Hopefully that review will go better! Here are some of the tools I use here on Planet Mojo: DeWALT FlexVolt 15" String Trimmer (Tool Only) - amzn.to/3rCFZGe DEWALT 20V MAX 14" String Trimmer - amzn.to/43uRQU4 DeWALT 20V MAX XR Oscillating Tool Kit, 3-Speed -- amzn.to/3aYKIaS DEWALT 20V MAX Impact Driver -- amzn.to/2JzyCK2 DEWALT 20V MAX Cordless Drill -- amzn.to/38PmInW DEWALT ATOMIC 20V MAX Cordless Drill, 1/2-Inch, Tool Only -- amzn.to/3rKAwbZ DEWALT 20V MAX Circular Saw -- amzn.to/3p60tR7 DEWALT Rotary Hammer Drill with Shocks, D-Handle -- amzn.to/37u2DUJ DEWALT 20V MAX XR Jig Saw, Tool Only -- amzn.to/2J66QEQ DEWALT 20V MAX XR Reciprocating Saw, Compact -- DEWALT 20V MAX XR Compact Reciprocating Saw -- amzn.to/3nKHVFG DEWALT 20V MAX Cordless Drill / Driver Kit, Compact, 1/2-Inch -- amzn.to/2KBzFcK DEWALT 20V MAX XR Oscillating Multi-Tool, Variable Speed -- amzn.to/3nxzBt7 DEWALT DCG413B 20V MAX Brushless Cut Off Tool/Grinder -- amzn.to/3mC4g78 DEWALT ATOMIC 20V MAX Circular Saw, 4-1/2-Inch, Tool Only ― amzn.to/3qYBiB9 DEWALT ATOMIC 20V MAX Reciprocating Saw, One-Handed, Cordless, Tool Only ― amzn.to/2Msu21r DEWALT 20V MAX Cordless Drill / Driver Kit, Compact, 1/2-Inch ― amzn.to/3cbAhBl DEWALT 20V MAX XR Impact Driver, Brushless, 3-Speed, 1/4-Inch, Tool Only ― amzn.to/3opEzaF DEWALT Cordless Impact Wrench - amzn.to/3L5lvvl 12" DeWalt Chainsaw -- amzn.to/3oiLvId 16" DeWalt Chainsaw -- amzn.to/33Wqn1r 12 Ah Battery -- amzn.to/33JN48U 9 Ah Battery -- amzn.to/2SKUQwN 6 Ah Battery - amzn.to/3PyhOCT 6 Ah FlexVolt Battery -- amzn.to/3odC6BW 9 Ah FlexVolt Battery - amzn.to/3O4E7xu 12 Ah FlexVolt Battery - amzn.to/3pYI2UB 15 Ah FlexVolt Battery - amzn.to/3OpoCl2

I looked at a Wild Badger electric chainsaw at Lowe's, and I had the same impression as you, everything looked and felt so flimsy and cheap! It costed about the same as a bigger DeWalt battery so it was tempting, but I'll bet it wouldn't have lasted a year!

I have never seen these in stores before (never looked though), and never even heard of Wild Badger Power before they contacted me. They wanted me to compare their trimmer to Husqvarna, so I figured they must be pretty good to be that confident. It would have been nice if the unit worked so I could see how loud it is, how much vibration, etc.

A LOT of the odd named power tools these days are just Chinese brands. They have no quality control, and break nearly immediately if they are not broken when you get them. I've gotten to the point where I avoid Chinese junk completely!
@PlanetMojo
@PlanetMojo Жыл бұрын
I know the tool was made in China, but I don't know who owns the brand. Whoever owns the brand really needs to do burn-ins on the motor and other quality control. It didn't even look like this thing was ever started - and the lack of testing really showed.

Hi Mojo, that sure looked like a piece of junk, I thought that's not right when you pulled the starter,and the leak was the last straw,have you sent it back with the review verdict.

Thanks Larry, I actually took it to the dump. Our dump has an area where you can put things that someone may want - there was furniture, a big mirror, a barbecue grill and other things there when I went - so someone there will pick it up and maybe get it running - if that's possible. 🥴

husqvarna trimmers need carb adjustment out of the box but after being propperly adjusted they run great. I run my husky trimmer hard it needs a minor tune up about once every 2 months or so. If you know how to adjust a carb yourself it's super easy to do

Best blade I've ever seen for cutting through brambles and such is the Oregon mulching blade. You need a powerful machine, something over 50cc, but there's nothing that competes. Why it's not marketed in the US is a mystery.
@PlanetMojo

I use a saw blade on the Husqvarna 336FR, and it will cut through anything up to 2" trees from one side - 5" or 6" if you walk around it. I'll have to take a look at the Oregon mulching blade. I'm always open to new things, and Oregon makes some great blades!

@@PlanetMojo Those saw blades are great for the big stuff, for sure. If you have brambles, briars, vines and the like, I think you'll really appreciate how the Oregon Mulching Blade shreds them. There are quite a few videos on KZbin that show them in action.

Cheesy plastic lol I will never get one either. Hope you can take it back. Screw that head on too tight is why it wouldn't pull? Great comparison tho

Thanks Dave. No, it wasn't the head. I tried starting it without the head and got the same thing. I've decided to go with the Husqvarna forestry trimmer for the grunt work, and try a DeWalt electric model for the day-to-day stuff. The electric chainsaw kinda worked. We'll see how the trimmer does 🤔

More Crap from China. It's tempting to try and pay less, but it is rarely the case because we have to buy it again! Thanks for your honest reviews!

I've seen these wild badger tools in the store, they seem to be marketed towards first time buyers of tools like this. They are just more Chinese junk in my opinion, and wouldn't make it past the first year without completely breaking down on a larger property. I'll pay the extra and stick with Stihl! I'm keeping my eye on the electric stuff as well. The bigger DeWalt looks real good, but I wonder if I would need two of the flex batteries for my property? And which batteries? I have one 6 amp battery.

Ryobi used to be similar to this when they first came out - still may be for all I know. They looked like the tool they were supposed to be, but everything about them was cheaper. I think they have become much better these days, but they are still not a tool for the craftsman tradesman, or larger property owner. In the end, I will do like I said - use the big 336FR for blade work and get an electric model for the grass 😊

I thanks for your vid bro‼️ I attached the brush cutter to the trimmer, and at full throttle it started to vibrate, and while cutting some brush and the brush was pretty thick it seem to be doing good and then I noticed the shaft started to twist ugh 😒 VERY DISAPPOINTED ‼️

You are welcome! I couldn't believe how poorly these Wild badger machines were made.! I'll stick with Husqvarna and Stihl for the heavy work, and DeWalt cordless for everything else!

I had that same trimmer from lowes. I landed up bringing it back because it was so heavy and the strap was so bad , it took me a half hour to figure it out on how to wear it..I hjad no trouble installing the head and it started up the first pull. Plenty of power BUT so heavy ! and that crappy strap !

@@PlanetMojo i need to hold mine down with my foot to pull it. these are not wimpy little 26cc. it takes some force. normally 2 pulls on full choke then 1 half choke and its off the work. also the bump head on these are mid. relly not there primary task.

Obviously you should have returned it prior to assembling. You had nothing good to say about it good commercial for other brands. Do they furnish you products? Was expecting an unbiased revenue. Not what I got😢.

Wild Badger supplied the product, and asked me to compare it to the Husqvarna trimmers I have. That's what I did, right out of the box. I have been using this type of trimmer on a very large property for many years, and know what to expect, and the "Wild Badger" is cheap junk. You got an unbiased review, but you wanted to hear differently. 😑
